Monba relocated to Nicks Farm in Indiana

Grade 1 winner Monba will relocate to Nicks Farm in Sellersburg, Ind. for the 2015 breeding season, where he will stand for an advertised fee of $2,000.

The 10-year-old son of Maria’s Mon previously stood at Penn Ridge Farms in Harrisburg, Pa., where he was advertised last year for $4,000.

Monba is represented by three crops of racing age, led by stakes-placed Mondor, as well as Super Mon and Monba Mia, who have each earned more than $50,000.

Monba won three of 10 starts during his on-track career for earnings of $669,034, highlighted by a victory in the Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes in 2008. He also placed in the Grade 3 Ben Ali Stakes and Thunder Road Handicap the following year.

Bred in Kentucky by Mill Ridge Farm Ltd. and Jamm, Ltd., Monba is out of the winning Easy Goer mare Hamba, who is the dam of seven winners from eight foals to race, also including stakes-placed Gijima. His extended family includes Kentucky Oaks winner Plum Pretty, Grade 1 winner Secret Hello, Grade 2 winner Silent Account, and Grade/Group 3 winners Conveyance and Hadif.
