You Know You Do, the winner of this year's Peter Haughton Memorial, and Night Rhythm, who broke his maiden, were the winners of the two C$93,880 Champlain Stakes splits for rookie colt trotters that took place on Friday night at Mohawk Racetrack. After making a break in his most recent start at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono, You Know You Do was back in top gear on this night, cruising to a 1:55 1/5 victory for driver Yannick Gingras.  Starting from post five in the seven-horse field, You Know You Do was unpressured through fractions of 29, 58 2/5, and 1:27, then used a 28 1/5 final quarter to defeat a traffic-troubled Alarm Detector (Trevor Henry) by 6 3/4 lengths.  Embolden (Rick Zeron) finished in the third position. "He was exceptional tonight, said winning co-owner Marvin Katz.  "This is a really top-end colt, and we're thrilled and proud of him.  Perry Soderberg recommended him to me and to the other people that become partners, and of course, that led to us putting together a group to go after him.  (Soderberg's) done that with so many other horses as well for us." Jimmy Takter trains You Know You Do, a Muscle Hill colt, for owners Howard Taylor, Order By Stable, Bud Hatfield, and the Mkatz Alibfeld Sgoldband partnership.  The third-highest priced yearling at the Standardbred Horse Sale last year ($350,000), You Know You Do has won four times from six starts and earned C$253,872.  You Know You Do, who was the 4-5 favorite and paid $3.60 to win, was bred by Valley High Stable and is the first foal out of the Credit Winner mare You Want Me ($220,980), the New York Sire Stakes champion 2-year-old trotting filly in 2012. The other division saw trainer Frank Antonacci and the Zeron family finish first and second, with son Scott and Night Rhythm just getting the better of dad Rick and Kinda Lucky Lindy in 1:57 2/5.  Cruising In Style (Anthony MacDonald) did just that through the first three-quarters, as he held about a three-length advantage at the 29 second opening quarter, the 58 4/5 half, and 1:27 3/5 three-quarters.  He was still up by over two lengths with an eighth of a mile to go, but the Antonacci charges reeled him in late, with Night Rhythm, who had been positioned third throughout, coming up the inside to beat Kinda Lucky Lindy, who was three-wide from fourth, by a head.  Cruising In Style had to settle for third, a half-length behind the top two. This was Night Rhythm's first start outside the Pennsylvania Stallion Series, and the younger Zeron noted starting him in that spot was a prudent call. "Frank had told me he wanted me to stick with this horse, and I'm happy it worked out for both horses.  I think they chose to race him in the Stallion Series just to keep him brave," he remarked.  "He didn't have to chase a lot of hard speed.  They did the right thing, and it panned out today.  I had to nurse him a little bit in the last turn, but we turned it into a sprint down the lane." Night Rhythm is a colt by Muscle Hill who is trained by Antonacci for owners Lindy Farms and Robert Rudolph.  Night Rhythm, a $160,000 purchase from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, scored his first career win in his third attempt, and he has now put away C$53,540.  Night Rhythm is out of the Andover Hall mare Tail Of Night, making him a half-brother to Machuca (Yankee Glide, $154,669).  Night Rhythm was sent off at 2-1 and returned $6.30 to win.
