Race 4 - $75,000 Guaranteed Pick Four

Best Bet (4 - 8 / $12.00): THANKYOUKESSEL

Spot Play: NOBLE FLIGHT

Race 1
(9) ORDERINGIN moves into the Moreau barn and that’s the main reason for my selection. He raced in the SBOA final and should be very competitive in here. (4) BRENWAY DIXIE draws well and is fresh off a victory. She moves up in class, but showed enough speed last week. (8) JETCREST has failed to hit the board yet this season, but shows enough trot. This is a fairly wide-open event and she’ll provide a price.

Race 2
(8) WORLDY DEA closed very well last week with a solid final quarter. She should offer a price, but she comes out of the O’Sullivan barn and shows enough speed. (3) OOZIES FINALE draws inside and has been knocking on the door in her last two starts. She should benefit from post relief and be better positioned. (4) STEAL HER THUNDER enjoys being put into the race and that will likely happen from a post four start. She gets Waples in the bike, which is a plus.

Race 3
(10) NOBLE FLIGHT should offer a fair price from post 10 and fresh off a qualifier. He has enough speed to win in this class. I hope he’s pushed forward off the gate. (3) MAGIC PEACH found the winner’s circle last week in impressive time. This will be her second start of the season and she can only improve. (2) PRIZED FIGHTER draws inside and comes out of the Gillis barn. If he behaves himself, I like his chances.

Race 4
(6) ADDYS SECRET overcame post 10 last week to finish third. She draws better this week and continues to improve with each start. She’s very capable in this class with a good post to finally work with. (9) LAND OF ANGELS comes out of the Jamieson barn and was timed in 1:54 last week. That makes her a threat in this bottom class. (8) MADEMOISELLE PARIS had post nine last week and closed well with a :27.3 final frame. This will be just her second start of the season and she should improve.

Race 5
(2) NORTHERN BULLET hasn’t missed the board yet this season with two wins. He was very impressive winning in London and should be able to handle this group. (6) BETTY OOP went a very fast mile last week, winning in 1:56. That was just her first win of the season. She jumps up in class, but she’s hard to overlook after last week. (10) CHOIR ROBE will have to overcome post 10, but has proven that she’s a quality filly with her latest efforts. She comes out of a top barn and likely will race from behind.

Race 6
(1) FRESH HERB draws inside and has proven to be very competitive at this level. He shows enough speed and can dictate the correct trip from post one. (3) SHADOW BARAN draws inside and has won two of his last three starts. He’s got a good record this season and enjoys being put into the race. (6) WESTERN SENATOR provided a price last week and finished third. He came from off-the-pace and gets Jamieson again, which is a plus.

Race 7
(5) BAD BOY HILL shows enough speed to win in this class. It appears he races at his best when he’s put on the front and that may happen this week. Either way, he’s hard to overlook after his 1:51 4/5 recent time. (7) PRESIDENT SYLBERUN overcame post eight last week and paced home strong to finish third. He draws a little better this week and I feel he can improve. (10) ISLAND JET will have to overcome post 10, but he did score the win at this level last week. He did it all on the front and may try the same tactics again.

Race 8
(2) THANKYOUKESSEL looks like he’s back to his old self after his convincing win in the Gold at London. He draws inside and with a repeat effort should be the horse to beat. (10) DESIGNER GENES has a terrific closing kick and if she’s not too far back, she’s got a great chance. (7) MUTINYONTHEBOUNTY should provide a price, but he gets Ritchie in the bike, which is never a bad thing with a trotter. He qualified well and looks like he’s ready to step up.

Race 9
(3) CAN ROCK HANOVER has been knocking on the door in this class and is due to win. He draws well and enjoys being put into the race. (1) DREDYL HANOVER draws the rail and closed very well last week. He finishes his miles very strong and should get the correct trip from post one. (4) SOMEWHERE WITH YOU overcame post 10 last week to finish fourth and draws much better this week. I’m not convinced he can win, but is a good option for the triactor.

Race 10
(1) HOBSONS CHOICE raced well last season and qualified very strong. She finished her qualifier off with a strong final frame and has post one. (6) FASHION GLIDER is undefeated in four starts this season and moves onto this circuit. He comes out of Henriksen’s barn, which will decrease his price. (7) RANDOM MARGIN converted off a pocket trip last week en route to victory. He remains at the same level and once again should be a factor. Don’t expect to see the same price.

Race 11
(3) KING RICHARD draws inside and is undefeated in three starts in his career. He’ll have to step up his game even more as he moves onto this circuit, but there’s no reason that states he can’t. (8) OCCULT MASTER qualified very well with a :27 final frame. He’s regally-bred, had some time off and appears improved. (9) PLANS OVER was timed in 1:53 3/5 last week and that makes him very competitive in this class. He’s very versatile and shows good final quarter speed.

Race 12
(2) ST LADS MOXIE has won three straight including in this class last week. She draws well and gets Jamieson again. (8) SMARTYGIRL has a good record this season and has hit the board in three of her last four starts. She moves onto this circuit and will get lots of consideration for the exactor. (6) BREEZIN ON BYE has been top three in three of her last four starts and once again is very capable. She finished second in this class last week, only beaten by a neck for the win.
