Race 1

(7) PISCEAN trotted a winning race last out but was just beaten by one who kept coming at him first-over as the pace accelerated; top call here. On paper it looks like the only one he needs to worry about is (8) THE SPRINTER who is the first foal to race from a good race mare who won 27 of her 107 starts and hit the board more than 60% of the time. This one looks ready. (9) P L INTIMIDATOR has raced evenly twice and may be ready to show some improvement.

Race 2

(6) AUTHENDICK showed enough in her lone qualifier to suggest she is ready to win early; top call. (2) OK HEARTBEAT also looks ready and appears to be much faster than she was last year as a 2YO. (3) WHOSLUCKIERTHANME exits a rapid qualifier in which she managed to beat a couple and may be faster than she showed there.

Race 3

(6) CINCINATTI MISS showed more in her May 22 qualifier than she did in any of her four starts last year. Trainer McIntosh may have found the key to this filly; top call. (5) LMC MARSHMELLOW had good speed both early and late last out and is getting closer. (3) BOONDOCK comes in off two blowout wins at London but will need more late speed to hold on here.

Race 4

(7) INVEST IN ART qualified faster than any of these have been racing and looks much faster this year; top call in his 3YO debut. (2) ARTIAWITCHTOYOU showed promise on limited action last year and also qualified quickly while showing nice late speed; contender. (3) BETTOR OUT WEST raced well in his first test on the big circuit, narrowly losing to a logical winner. He's another to consider here.

Race 5

(3) ONE TO DRAW TO tried to go down the road in his debut and tired late, likely due to going too fast in the third 1/4. He still dropped almost 10 seconds off his lone qualifier and looks formidable here. (7) ARTFUL WAY went a big trip in the City of London elim and is getting closer to that elusive first win. (4) SKY GUY also raced well over London and gets a big driver switch from when he was last seen here at Mohawk.

Race 6

(6) HOPE FOR BADLANDS did well last time to be third behind two class-droppers. Lukewarm call on top in a head scratcher. (1) MACH IT BIG is a 9-time winner in his last 30 starts which in itself looks pretty good vs. this weak group. He may trip out here from the inside. (7) ARI ALLSTAR can get a chunk of this if he leaves a bit better than he has been.

Race 7

(7) THE SPY put up a good fight against a very good colt who was the prohibitive favorite last time. He meets a group he should beat here. (10) ROCKIN IN HEAVEN went a brave first-over trip to win his WEG debut. Henry should get a good spot early from which to launch an assault; contender. (1) P L IDAHO missed some time then lost all hope when funky-gaited near the 3/4 pole. Those could be two very bad signs.

Race 8

(5) MAJESTIC VIEW left hard, took a shuffle, then closed six lengths on the winner in the stretch. He meets a pretty weak group and could trip out in the pocket behind (8) HAVA KADABRA, who is undoubtedly pointing to front off the claim and two down-the-road wins in a row. (10) UTOPIA is the wild card dropping back to a class where he can compete and a regular cycle.

Race 9

(1) A LOT OF SENSE took a ton of support at the windows last week but was too far back early to get involved at the finish. With the move inside she can make amends here. (2) HA JUNG ships in off some quick miles over Northville and adds Lasix; the one to chase down (10) DELIRIUM has been improving and can get a share here.

Race 10

(3) UNIQUE BARAN was an easy winner first time off the claim for trainer Stewart and looks good to repeat vs. these. (5) ICARE DE CHAFRA went a big mile over Trois Rivieres last out and ships in to shoot for a bigger purse while sharp. (4) BETTOR AGAIN was winning in 1:51 1/5 last October now is priced to sell here. That's a red flag for us but many will bet him off perceived “back class”.

Race 11

(9) EXHILARATED went a big first-up trip to just miss when claimed by trainer Auciello. Look for Drury to leave with this one at least hard enough to get position early. Top call at a square price (8) ONE LAST BONO, a virtual win machine, goes first off the claim here but has missed 4 weeks; mixed signals. (1) KIKISKISSINKOUSIN likely gets her preferred pocket trip here and is dangerous. (2) ALL CHOCOLATE went a big trip last time and may get enough early pace to set up her late charge. (5) JET HOT STUFF has upset potential making her second start following a break.
