Race 4 - $100,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (4 - 8 / $12.00): BEE A MAGICIAN (3rd)

Spot Play: MACH IT BIG (6th)

Race 1

(4) DANIEL SEMALU drops in class and comes out of the Moreau barn. He's been pacing fast enough miles and should appreciate a lighter field. (8) MACHS BEACH BOY also faces class relief and gets Campbell in the bike once again. If the fractions are honest, look for him late. (6) WINBAK WARRIOR is fresh off a win and although he moves up in class, he's capable of hitting the board.

Race 2 – Armbro Flight Final

(3) MAVEN is the horse to beat in this field. She's a perfect two-for-two this season and is in top form. (5) CEDAR DOVE was excellent last week in her elimination. It was her first start of the season and I expect her to be even better. (2) PERSONAL STYLE was the other elim winner and has won two straight. She continues to improve with each start.

Race 3 – Elegantimage Final

(2) BEE A MAGICIAN is the obvious pick in this race. It's very hard to pick against her based on how comfortable her victories have been this season. Right now, she appears to be in a league of her own. She'll have to be off her game for her to get beat at this point. (5) TO DREAM ON was last year's champion south of the border and will look for a much-improved effort on Saturday. A lot of handicappers might be turned off of her based on her performance last week, but I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt in just her third start of the season for Gingras and Takter. (3) ANGIES LUCKY STAR moved into the Moreau barn three starts ago and the results have been tremendous. She captured her elimination at ease, is in top form and has failed to miss the board in all four starts this season.

Race 4

(5) TOP GEAR drops in class after being timed in 1:49 3/5. That type of mile should be good enough to win this race. (6) IDEAL RACE was the favourite and didn't perform as expected. I'm looking for a rebound effort and selected him for second based on his back-class. (3) DONAU draws inside and is always in the hunt. He shows enough speed and should get away well.

Race 5 – Fan Hanover Final

(4) I LUV THE NITELIFE put forth a terrific effort last week en route to victory. She was the post time favourite and was hard-used to earn the front yet still fended off all challengers. She has a lot of class to her, had a sensational season last year and gets Tetrick. (8) JERSEYLICIOUS did all the roadwork last start before finishing second, by a neck, in 1:49. That's an impressive mile and she finished ahead of I LUV THE NITELIFE. This is her first start over this oval, which worries me a little, but shows she has the speed. (1) LOVE CANAL was full of pace last week and finished a hard-closing fourth. She was assigned post nine and has been blessed with post one this week. She's a major factor in this race and McNair has options from the rail.

Race 6

(4) MACH IT BIG draws inside and I'm price shopping. He's got a terrific record this season and gets Tetrick. I think he's capable of going sub-1:50. (1) ALL SPEED HANOVER was exceptional last week at The Meadowlands, being timed in 1:48 4/5 in just his second start of the season. He draws inside and faces a field he's capable of beating. (9) MACH DREAMER is a classy horse and has been knocking on the door in recent weeks. He's paced a pair of sub-1:50 miles with terrific final quarters.

Race 7 – North America Cup Final

(4) CAPTAINTREACHEROUS is still the 'Captain' until proven otherwise and should be better that he's on a seven-day rotation on Canadian soil. He's last year's champion and remains number one until proven otherwise. (2) VEGAS VACATION is undefeated this season and continues to impress. He comes from top connections and I'm predicting an off-the-pace trip for Zeron. (3) FOOL ME ONCE appears one-dimensional and likely will be the first leader. He has enough speed and may be able to steal the race if on the front end. Depending on the price, consider Wake Up Peter as the 'dark horse' in this rich final.

Race 8

(9) WILD DRAGON has been consistent at receiving the nine and 10 hole in his last number of outings. He drops in class and is very versatile. He's capable providing the right trip. (3) HILARIOUS HALO also drops in class and was a winner two starts ago. I like the fact that Miller is back on him this week. (2) MONTE CRISTO shows enough speed, but will need the right trip. He finishes his miles very strong and draws inside.

Race 9 – Goodtimes Final

(5) TOOCOOL FOR SCHOOL made a big statement with his 1:53 4/5 victory in his elimination. He seems one-dimensional and will likely be put on the front by Saftic, but with a repeat effort and he's got a terrific chance to win. He might offer a fair price based on his career record. (7) HAMDALLA gets the services of Miller again and got beat in the final strides of his elimination. He's back on a seven-day rotation and is certainly capable of a better effort. He's very versatile, which will give Miller plenty of options when the gate unfolds. (2) GOTTA SECRET caught everyone by surprise last week with his elimination win. He can only improve this start as it marks just his second start of the campaign. He comes out of a top barn and has a terrific record in his young career.

Race 10

(4) SWEET TALKIN SATIN got away too far back in his elim last week and was unable to advance to the final. He's a top threat in here and should be much better placed. (3) VARADERO HANOVER gets Tetrick in the bike and certainly is capable with his recent performances. (8) D TERMINATA comes out of the McIntosh barn and will look to hit the board for the first time this season. He gets Waples in the bike this week.

Race 11 – Mohawk Gold Cup

(2) FRED AND GINGER set a new World Record in his most recent start and draws inside in here. It's hard to overlook his 1:47 3/5 winning performance. (5) MODERN LEGEND was only beat a neck in that same race and returns to his home track. He'll likely race from off-the-pace for Campbell. (10) CAMAES FELLOW set a new World Record two starts ago and will have to overcome post 10. He's won three straight and might offer a fair price from the outside.

Race 12

(7) SPEED AGAIN gets significant class relief and should be able to find his first win of the season. He was timed in sub-1:50 last week and that should be quick enough to win. (8) COOL ROCK loves to race from off-the-pace and if the speed is quick, he'll benefit from that. (2) UNCLE GOODFELLOW has been at his best in recent starts and has failed to miss the board in four starts. He once again may provide a price.

Race 13

(3) KINDLY POET raced three weeks from the 10-hole and finally draws inside. He's at the bottom level and has a ton of back-class. (2) FIRE ON THE WATER draws inside and is fresh off a win. He usually provides a price and that will likely continue in here. (9) ANNUITY is a better horse than he's been showing and this level is always tough to predict. He hit the board last start and is once again capable.
