Best Bet: SUMMER TRAVEL (9th) Spot Play: VENUS DUHARAS (1st) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 1,2,7/3,4/2,3,10/3,5/3,7 = $14.40 EARLY PICK 4: 3,5/3,7/1,3,5/4,6,10 = $36 LATE PICK 4: 4,6,9/1/4,5,6/5,8,10 = $36 MEET STATS: 78 - 224 / $505.10  BEST BETS: 11 - 22 / $43.90 SPOT PLAYS: 11 - 21 / $68.60 Race 1 (1) VENUS DUHARAS was trapped in for most of the back half last week in his first try over the track and she should improve sharply here, hopefully at a decent price. (7) VOTE FOR PEDRO is best on paper, but he may get overbet in his first start since shipping in. Using in the Pick 5, but I wouldn't take a short price in the win pool. (2) WHAT CHAPTER - a $65K Lexington buy - has been brought along slowly for top connections, but he could have a lot more ability than you see from those Flamboro Downs lines. Don't sleep on this guy when punching your Pick 5 tickets. (6) GODDESS OF GOODNESS started up too late last time and predictably stalled at the 3/4. She can better this placing with a better trip. Race 2 (3) PRECISION HANOVER raced huge against a 1/5 shot last week, only succumbing very late in the mile. She looks best here. (4) LADY BUBBLES was good in her opener and the two fillies that beat her both came right back to win. She's a must-use for me here. (6) ASPECIAL PRESENCE finished well last time and finished just behind Lady Bubbles. She can hit the ticket here. (2) MITTANY NICOLE got up at a big price to beat weaker, but she looks like a fringe player here to me. Race 3 (3) EX HANOVER would have won last time if she could have got started up earlier. From a better post here, she has a big shot. (10) WANNA HALL - a $32K Lexington purchase - is a rare trotting colt being sent out by trainer Coleman but based on the way he finished off his May 19th qualifier, he could be a serious colt. I must use him here, even from the dreaded 10-hole. (2) MISS JUBILEE HILL finished with interest in her 2018 debut and trainer Steacy always does well at this meet; using. (7) WARAWEE TRITON can close late to finish on the edges here. Race 4 (3) P L IDAHO changes barns, comes in off a very sharp qualifier, picks up Roy and he loves this track. There's lots to like here. (5) HURRICANE BEACH faces considerably easier here, but he might get hammered at this windows and if the choice brings his 'A' game, he'll have his hands full. (6) SHADOW OF LINDY is worth using in Tris and Supers because of his good gate speed. (10) UNDRAFTED can wind up from the back and pass some horses and make the bottom of the Super or Tri. Race 5 (3) YACHT SEELSTER was beat by a good one last time in a sharp effort. This race looks like it will come down to him and (7) GRANTMEAWISH. The latter was hammered at the windows for his debut and raced great considering his trip. Slight nod to the former but using both in the multis. (8) BAGS AGAIN should be closing again here, and it makes sense to expect a 3-7-8 or 7-3-8 Tri here. (10) LISBURN is interesting on the barn change to a trainer that sends them ready, but this is a tough spot here. Tab him for next week. Race 6 (1) OUR VACATION - a $17K Canadian Yearling buy - is a 1/2-sister to several winners including $823K earner and 1:50 1/5 pacer Hypnotist. She wouldn't need to improve much off her qualifier to take this field at first asking. (5) COSETTE is another making her debut that rates highly in this field; using. (3) STONEBRIDGE ENVY had an eventful Mohawk debut. She can improve here. (8) DON'T MACH MIA has the best form, but she seems more like a fringe player leaving from an outside post again. Race 7 (10) LUCYS MAN was hammered on the barn change last week and he improved sharply. The price should be good here and even post 10 may not stop him if he gets sent. (6) MONI JUSTICE couldn't get to a very sharp winner last time, but her form continues to hold up well. She has a big shot here. (4) NORTHERN MAJOR has improved for hot driver McClure. He'd be no surprise here. (5) BURLINGTON missed 4 weeks, or I might like him better in this spot; small share predicted. Race 8 (6) PROTECT BLUE CHIP raced well in a quick mile last time and it likely won't be long now before she breaks her maiden; top call. (4) HEY SWEETIE went a long trip in a good effort to just miss and she should contend here. (1) ASFASTASMYSISTER would need to drop about five seconds here, but that isn't impossible moving to a bigger track and the top barn. (2) RENDEZVOUS HANOVER is one that can trip out and make one of the lower rungs of exotics tickets. Race 9 (1) SUMMER TRAVEL got stacked up on way too much cover last time and leveled off late. With a mark of 1:50 3/5 taken here last year as a two-year-old, this is obviously a field he should bet if right. (4) GHOST DANCE is the one to fear off his sharp season opener. (5) TRUMP THAT was right in the thick of it vs. Grand Circuit foes last year and he isn't out of this, although I'm not sure he got what he needed in his lone qualifier off a 1:00 3/5 opening half. (8) TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY is an honest sort who beat a good colt last time that came back to win. He wouldn't be the worst stab here if bettors ignore him. Race 10 (5) NEON MOON had no shot of cutting into a 27 2/5 kicker from 10 lengths back when facing some good ones in he 2018 debut. I expect sharp improvement here. (4) HELLO LOVE beat Pearl Blue Chip - who came back to win - then she missed a week. She is another contender in a field with a few possibilities. (6) FOR THE RECORD takes a class drop, and is one I'll use in the late Pick 4, but she could be over bet here. (1) KATNISS S BG should benefit from having a race over the track and she should grab at least a share here. Race 11 (8) SCOUTS REPORT raced decently in a very fast mile for this class in his first start of the year. He should be tough here. (10) BIG TALKING MAN showed some ability last year, now he moves to a barn of a trainer who sends them ready. He may be able to overcome this post. (5) DENVER SEELSTER exits the same race as the choice and he can be much closer here. (3) DAM LUCKY and (1) WESTSLUCKY TERROR are two more that were in that quick mile who can wake up vs. these and possibly crash the exotics.
