This colt looks ready and Henriksen typically likes to win early. (9) EX HANOVER has some lines from the Pure Ivory series that stack up well here and he gets driver McClure, who notched a Grand Slam here Monday night. (8) CRUZE ON OVER has a very long trip when leaving from the 10-hole in his 2018 debut. Ha can improve sharply here with a better trip. (1) CASTASPELLONME was bought for $80K at Harrisburg. He bears watching for future starts. Race 2 (5) PROTECT BLUE CHIP had no chance of closing last week after the leader stole a minute middle half. She makes her third start back for trainer Steacy, who excels with young stock; top call. (6) SPORTS ICON exits the same race as the choice and she finished just behind her in a good debut effort. She can contend here. (8) STONEBRIDGE ENVY was impressive in her debut win in Florida. She’s not out of this. (1) RENDEZVOUS HANOVER is another exiting the same race as the choice, who figures here in what should be a spread race. Race 3 (2) ALBERGO HANOVER was beaten by a promising colt who kicks home under 27 seconds every week. A repeat of that effort should make him tough here. (5) YACHT SEELSTER exits the same race and that was his season debut. He was decent there and can improve. (4) THUNDER SOMEWHERE – initially bought for $80K at Lexington – looks well-prepped for a sophomore debut by a conditioner who sends them ready; using. (3) SUP HANOVER moves inside for his third start back and he could improve sharply at a big price. Race 4 (4) TIKI TAKA uncorked a wicked mile in his 2018 debut for a resurgent trainer Moreau. He can double up here and he might be second choice to (6) ALLOVERAGAIN, who is the main threat by virtue of his strong 1:54 4/4 score taken over this track two starts back. (9) VESUVIO BI is a decent racehorse when he minds his manners. Although a repeat of his bombs-away score seems unlikely here, he can close for a slice. (1) STORMONT VENTNOR is another that can close late for a smaller share. Race 5 (6) THIS IS MY SONG drops back to a level where he races best, and he gets a slight nod in this field. (3) LATE NIGHT should be aggressive here dropping to the bottom level and it wouldn’t shock if driver Henry took him coast-to-coast. (9) AUDREYS DREAM is another who fits well in this class and is likely to be sent forward off the gate. Use him in multi-race bets. (5) EAST END won last time he raced this low. He’s hard to toss in this field, but he could get over bet. Race 6 (3) MRSTERY BEAR was much improved last week and she took her life’s mark over this track last year. I’ll side with her over probable chalk (1) WISH I WAS THERE, who rode an easy trip to a big win in her seasonal debut. (9) ALEXUS EH is on a roll and while post hurts here, she is still in the mix. (8) ZEPPELIN BI can take a smaller share in what could be a prep for an Ohio Sires Stake. Race 7 (5) ATOMIC SEELSTER was active in his season’s debut, but there was lots of action in that one and he eventually retreated. He can improve enough to beat these. (6) WHEN YOU DANCE passed the choice in the lane while pacing a 27-flat kicker. He’s a contender here. (2) INTERNET HANOVER showed enough in the late stages of his qualifier to pique my interest here. (1) BR EZLIKSNDYMORNIN finished just ahead of the choice in an improved mile. He’s another possibility in a contentious field. Race 8 (1) REIKI goes for one of the best “first-off-the-claim” trainers on the circuit and he draws well here; top call. (9) DEEPFAVE HANOVER comes up tagged here and Roy should be sending him. I’ll use him in the late Pick 4. (5) SIMON SAID was flying late in his first start for a tag. He’s a contender here. (2) SIX FLAGS was live late in the mile last week and he can hit the ticket again vs. these. Race 9 (4) JOEY BATS got a huge driver change last time and it made all the difference. Filion – who has been heating up recently – sticks here; call to repeat. (9) TINAS MAJESTY went a solid trip to finish behind the choice and he can complete the exacta here, too. (2) VENUS DUHARAS shows a win in 1:56 3/5 last year on her card and she goes for a barn that is built around trotters; use underneath. (5) SEVEN STARS finally put it all together, but these are tougher. A small share is predicted for him. Race 10 (3) KATNISSS BG paced by far her swiftest mile on May 11th when in against some very good fillies in a qualifier. She should be tough in this spot. (1) WRITE ME SONG regressed a bit last time when beaten by a pocket sitter, but she looks like one of the best ones in here. (4) LOVE KILLS can be much closer here moving to an inner post and she might be a price again. I’ll use her in the late Pick 4. (9) PLEASANT BEAUTY lulled them to sleep in the middle half last week, now faces tougher. She’s bred to be a good one, but I’ll play against her in this spot. Race 11 (7) PEARL BLUE CHIP was super racing from the 10-hole in her sophomore bow. I’ll give her the nod here over (6) AVERY SEELSTER, who bottomed out the field last time and will have to be caught. (8) VINES TO HEAVEN qualified strongly for this and trainer Fine can have one ready to fire. (1) PRECISION HANOVER goes with second time Lasix here and maybe she can last longer and share at a price. (10) LYONS GIRLHANOVER might be my top choice from a better post, but she should at least make the bottom rung of the High-5 here.
