Best Bet: RENEGADE MAGIC (3rd) Spot Play: WINNING AMERICAN (1st) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 2,7,10/1,5/2/5,6,8/1,3,4,5,6 = $18 EARLY PICK 4: 5,6,8/1,5,6/1,2,7/5,6 = $54 LATE PICK 4: 2,3,7/3,4,7,9/1,3,7,9 = $48 MEET STATS: 68 - 203 / $420.80  BEST BETS: 11 - 20 / $34.10 SPOT PLAYS: 10 - 19 / $59.90 Race 1 (10) WINNING AMERICAN - who shows a good 2nd in an OSS Gold race last year - has had a couple of starts down south and he lands in a good spot here. He may be that much better than these that post 10 won't matter. (2) SUPERLATIVE - a $16K Canadian Yearling sale buy - is related to several winners and comes in off a good qualifier; using. (7) PRINCESS STEPHANIE was a decent Grassroots filly last year and she's in with a chance here if she can work out a trip. (6) FAN THE FLAMES will use his good early speed to get position and likely stick around for a slice. Race 2 (5) REGIL TIGER comes back in 7 days after missing a month before his last start and he drops below the price he was taken for. There are likely some issues here, but I suspect he handles these and gets claimed. (1) ROCKIN RONNIE was like a different horse last week. He's a must-use for me here. (6) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP never misses the board it seems, and he should make the ticket again here. (4) TOMY TERROR finishes fourth frequently and it's a likely landing spot for him here, too. Race 3 (2) RENEGADE MAGIC woke up in a big way last week at a big price and she stays at the same class here. Call to repeat. (5) EXEMPLAR raced decently behind the choice and he can contend in this group again racing from close range. (6) BUZZ has been racing well using a variety of styles and if he blasts off the gate here, he could trip out and upset them all. (4) MAJESTIC PRESENCE is another who should leave well here that can stick around for a share. Race 4 In a race that looks wide-open to me, I'll side with class-droppers (6) CHARMBO ORBIT and (8) KWICKY KWANZAA as my top two, although neither are win machines. Slight nod to the former who has a better post. (5) HOBOKEN HANOVER was a sharp winner off the claim and the veteran merits multi-race inclusion in this field. (7) BIG BANG BOOM tripped out perfectly to beat an okay field, but he may not get that trip here; small share predicted. Race 5 (6) MIGHTY NICKY should get a setup for his late charge and his kick should be more potent in this class. (5) CRESURREY is interesting here adding Lasix after opening a huge lead at Yonkers and just missing. I'll use him on the multis. (1) GRANA PADANNO had no chance to close into an accelerating late pace last time. He should be closer early here which gives him a shot. (3) GREAT MAGIC is in his best form and he may be rated a little low here. He's not out of this. Race 6 (7) AVALANCHE HANOVER was solid in defeat last week and with his improving form, he gets top call here. (1) THINK AGAIN is always closing but many times falls victim to racing luck. Maybe he can find a live helmet to follow early here leaving form the inside. (2) APHRO STAR is better sitting a trip which might be the strategy here; using. (8) PRINCE GIOVANNI will likely be last early and passing horses late. He'd need things to play out perfectly to win, which is unlikely. Race 7 (5) GOLD RUSH didn't do badly last week, getting a check despite being in an impossible spot most of the way. He can score a mild upset here leaving from a better post. (6) REAL SURREAL is the obvious horse to beat at a short price. (9) WEBMASTER HANOVER has been racing well from any post and he should be able to make his way onto the ticket here. (7) PHANTOM SEELSTER was good early last year and he could improve sharply with a start under his belt. Race 8 (3) DREAM TOGETHER gradually ramped up her performance to the point where she should now be razor-sharp for this stakes engagement. She gets the nod. (2) CAPRICE HILL likes this track and she is a classy rival that should provide a threat. (7) EMOTICON HANOVER comes off a big year and she obviously is not out of this. This has the makings of a good battle. (6) P L JILL is erratic, but she looked good last week, and she can grab a share here. Race 9 (5) EVAN HANOVER comes right back in the same class after notching a lifetime-best score and he could get an identical trip here; top call. (8) ALPHA SEELSTER was no match for the choice late and he's likely to provide the same target here. (2) TYMAL TINO is an exacta factor here leaving from the inside. (6) KUIL DEVA can pick up some pieces late here and sneak onto the Super ticket. Race 10 (3) PICK UP MAN had a decent opener, and this is a good spot for him. Expect a more aggressive steer. (4) FROOME - a $27K Harrisburg purchase - showed enough speed on May 14th to make him a contender here. (7) PARADISE BLUE CHIP was in a non-advancing flow as the leader was opening a big lead in the third quarter last week. He is in with a good shot here. (9) JM JACK OF HEARTS exits a fast race at Flamboro that stacks up well vs. these, but he will need to hurry leaving from out there. (5) UPTOWN FUNK had a sneaky good qualifier and he's another that wouldn't shock me in a race with no form. Race 11 (3) KAMERAN HANOVER faces tougher here, but his price will jump and he could trip out near the front; slight nod. (7) B YOYO was first up vs. better and held 3rd. He fits well here; using. (9) VERO AMORE BI could go a long way if he clears quickly here and he could be an overlay; beware. (1) WILD AND CRAZY GUY should be good for at least a share vs. these. (6) FREE WILLY HANOVER is another that drops that merits consideration in a very contentious dash. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
