Best Bet: ASA READY TO GLIDE (5th) Spot Play: SENOR GRANDE (2nd) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 3,4,7/1,6/3,5,6/2,6,8/2,3 = $21.60 EARLY PICK 4: 2,6,8/2,3/2,4/1,2,4 = $36 LATE PICK 4: 1,2,4/3/1,2,3/2,5,10 = $27 MEET STATS: 3 - 10 / $20.80  BEST BETS: 0 - 1 / $0.00 SPOT PLAYS: 0 - 1 / $0.00 Race 1 (3) SCOTTIES SPIRIT was in an impossible spot last time, trying to close into a back 1/2 that was trotted almost three seconds faster than the opening one. The short field helps him here; top call. (7) I JASMIN is an obvious threat on paper, but her 1 for 41 record is obviously concerning. (4) WINNING LYRIC can go better here if he can find a live helmet to follow. His race five starts back wins this if he can replicate it. (5) GIVE ANGEL CREDIT should be prominent early in this race and he can hang around for a share. Race 2 (6) SENOR GRANDE drops a level off the Moreau claim and Roy will no doubt look to impose his will from the outset here. A win and a claim is likely. (1) JEFFERSON TARE has a solid win in this class two back and there's a good chance he'll get the same trip here which makes him dangerous; using. (2) LISVINNIE finally gets a good post to work from, and while he is more likely to finish underneath, he could take this with a bit of racing luck. (5) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP looks next best and he can complete the Super or perhaps the Tri. Race 3 (6) VERO AMORE BI continues to offer solid efforts each week and he looks best in this spot. (5) POP I used a patient approach last time before drawing away late. Everything this barn sends out continues to be dangerous. (3) CUE HALL drops back to a level where he is more dangerous, and he should be prominent from the outset. (1) O NARUTAC PERFETTO is always passing horses, but the short field may work against him here as there isn't likely to be a swift early pace to chase. Race 4 (6) TOMITTA BAYAMA has reeled off two very fast wins at London and he looks as good as any in this unusual class. (2) MY BROTHER GEORGE has been firing home quickly every week and he should like the sweeping final turn here. (8) BANK SHOT HANOVER finished fast in all his Woodbine starts and he has a decent shot if Henry puts him into play early here. (3) TERRA COTTA LAD has some races at London that put him in the mix in this field; consider for exotics. Race 5 (2) ASA READY TO GLIDE was ready to fly for her sophomore debut and she should double up vs. these. (3) HIGHLAND DYNAMITE will likely be more aggressive early here, which gives him an outside shot of taking down the choice. Driver Roy continues to run hot. (4) P C FOREIGN AFFAIR can't seem to get that second win, but, he is always around the money and he should hit the board again here. (5) ESQUIRE looked good late in his mile last time, but this is a much tougher task and he is likely to finish on the edges here. Race 6 (4) THIS IS MY SONG set some solid splits and was game in defeat here on opening night last Thursday. He should be tough to beat if he goes here. (2) ERLE DALE is the class of the field, but he has had some issues recently. Switching to the Moreau barn is significant and a quick turnaround in performance would not be a surprise here. (3) MCDAVE drops slightly and he is capable of a good late move on his best day; using. (1) BADSTORMANYPORT should sit a decent trip starting from the inside and he can take a slice here. Race 7 (4) KWICKY KWANZAA was game in defeat last week to a horse that has caught fire recently. He is due for some better luck considering how hard he tries each week; top call. (2) REIKI should last much longer here in a claimer and he is probably the one to beat. (1) NEEDLECREST was decent off the Adams claim, and he is another who could take this with a trip. (6) KINGSLEY B keeps tiring late, but he should stick around for another slice here. Race 8 (3) BIG RICH is suddenly the “now” horse in this top class and if he shows the same speed he did last week, he'll be tough to knock off here. (6) NORTHERN STORMONT can complete the Moreau stable exacta here and possibly add some value to the exotics stepping up off the claim. (7) WARAWEE ROO is classy, but I'm not sure he is ready to challenge in the Open right off the bat; small share predicted. (4) ODDS ON AMETHYST has tailed off a bit but continues to get bet each week. I'll play to beat him again. Race 9 (1) JENKINS CREEK got worked over just enough in the opening 1/2 last week that he was softened up enough to get picked off late. He can bounce back here starting from the inside. (2) REGIL TIGER also moves inside after a tough trip and these two may fight it out late for the win. (3) LIVELY FREDDIE had a bit of a lucky trip last week, but he did capitalize. He will likely stay covered up here the whole way and look to pounce late again. (5) CASIMIR OVERDRIVE has raced well since being claimed by trainer Stein and he can take another slice here. Race 10 (2) ADVERSITY figures to get a good setup here and he should be a square price moving up in class. He gets a slight nod in a wide-open end to the late Pick 4. (10) NATURAL KEMP faces easier here and if Roy can clear quickly or float out in the top flight, he is in with a good shot. (5) GRANA PADANNO was a gate-to-wire winner when he last raced in a similar class in mid-February and he is another that merits Pick 4 inclusion here. (8) COULD NINE HANOVER can pass a few of these and take a slice. (7) BUZZ is toughest when he can land in the pocket at the outset and that scenario is unlikely here, so he likely finishes on the fringes.
