(5) CABLE BEACH A paced a sharp last 1/4 in his North American debut and sharp improvement from this one would be no surprise here. (2) ERLE DALE N should be helped by the short field here and Roy will likely give him a more aggressive steer; using. (1) WEATHERLY should be able to hit the ticket starting from the inside. Race 2 It's near impossible going against (6) HANNELORE HANOVER anytime, but even more so when in against her own gender, so I'll take the free Pick 5 square. (3) DREAM TOGETHER likely completes a very chalky exacta here. (5) CHECKMATE TIME is in solid form, but this is a big step up; small share predicted. (7) CAPRICE HILL is capable of beating this placing on her best effort, but coming off a break in stride, I'll tread lightly with her. Race 3 Tough race. I'll side with class-droppers (7) WINDSUN GOTHAM and (9) DREAMFAIR B J with the slight nod to he former because of having a better post, but won't be shocked if they both get beat. (4) MCDAVE was put in an impossible spot at the start last time, but from a better post, he has upset potential here. (3) MITT JAGGER has been racing gamely for several weeks and he's not impossible in this spot. Race 4 (2) P L KAHLUAA finished well in her season opener now drops one class; I'll bite. (1) REGAL LUCK can leave hard to get position here then trip out. I'll use her in the multi-leg bets. (7) MANHATTAN PLAY can finish fast when she is covered up early and she has some upset possibilities here. (10) TWENTY THREE RED was beaten by a rival who rode her helmet the entire way last time. I don't love her from the 10-hole, but the barn continues to run hot and I won't toss her. Race 5 (5) WOLFGANG looks ready to do some damage based on his 1:54 qualifier on a track rated two seconds slow on May 19th. (3) HAT TRICK HABIT merits respect coming off two sharp wins to kick off his campaign. (9) STORY TIME HANOVER - stablemate to the choice - looks like an improved colt this year and he's worth a look here. (4) LAWMAKER rarely misses the board and he can add some value to exotic wagers here. Race 6 (3) CELEBRITY RUTH flashed a lethal late kick in her win June 1 and she gets my nod here over likely favorite (6) EMOTICON HANOVER who was impressive here on May 27th and is the one to beat. (8) P L JILL is at the top of her game and she should merit a long look here. (4) BARN BELLA gets back to facing her own gender here which should lead to a better result. Race 7 (3) CIRCLE THE PAGE got a clean line now she gets a class drop. I'll give her a slight nod here. (6) PARTY BEACH also gets back to a class where she should be coming late in the mile; using. (8) FOREVER LIZA is a bit erratic, but she's been very good when she stays flat this year and this isn't an impossible spot for her; using. (9) WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE raced great last week in defeat. She would be rated much higher from a better post. Race 8 (5) ALARM DETECTOR may be the best of this division and he gets top billing here. (1) FIFTYDALLARBILL has come back sharp and he should be the main threat to the choice. (2) CRUISING IN STYLE couldn't capitalize on a great trip last time, but he adds Lasix here which might explain why. He can take a share in this field. (9) HILL STREET goes for top connections while in good form and he is another that should make the final from this group. Race 9 (5) FAMILY SPORTS comes off a flashy mile in Grassroots company and he will be tough to beat if he gets put into the race early. (2) JOHNATHAN QUICK was mired in some horrific traffic heading to the 3/4 which prevented a closer finish last week. He can add some exacta value here. (8) SPORTING CHANCE can improve in his third start back and note he took a mark of 1:51 3/5 last year as a rookie. (1) SIZZLING SUMMER switches to Moreau here so a big wakeup effort wouldn't shock. Race 10 (3) ESQUIRE beat similar by moving early and he is being driven more confidently now that his gait issues appear to be solved; call to repeat. (2) SCOTTIES SPIRIT beat a good colt in his May 29th qualifier and she fits well here; using. (4) SICARIO was way off the gate at the start of the City of London final then endured an impossible trip on the rim. He gets his regular driver back here which makes him a threat. (1) LUCYS MAN has improved of late and he'll trip out and win one soon. In this field, I expect another fringe placing. Race 11 (8) WRITE ME A SONG produced a strong effort against the top sophomore pacing filly in the country in London and with that rival gone, she has a big shot here. (1) QUITE A SIGHT was in a hopeless spot following a dawdling pace in her start in London and she looks like the main challenger to the choice here. (4) LADY BUBBLES is hot and she merits respect in this spot, although she will likely have trouble beating one or both of the top two if those are driven with purpose in this conditioned race. (7) MANHATTAN AGAIN kicks home quickly every week and she wouldn't be the worst stab in a race where some contenders may be driven more conservatively than they would be in a sires stake. Race 12 (1) BAROCKEY gets class and post relief here and she should wake up with a much better performance. (2) HOT SPOT HANOVER is another facing easier and she should get an aggressive steer in this spot. (3) BOURBON SEELSTER had a rough trip in London but she is capable vs. these and she could get a good trip racing near the front. (6) BAD NIGHT MARE makes her second start for Auciello and moves to a much better post. Expect her to hit the ticket. (7) REIS STAR CROSS is a good closer to use underneath in this spot.
