Best Bet: STIRLING BOUDICA (2nd) Spot Play: MACH THE CUT (4th) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 4,5,10/7/2,6/3,4,5/1,2,3,7,9 = $18 EARLY PICK 4: 3,4,5/1,2,3,7/3,5/1,4 = $48 LATE PICK 4: 2,9/1,4,5/1,3,8/1,2,8 = $54 MEET STATS: 37 - 112 / $222.80  BEST BETS: 5 - 11 / $14.50 SPOT PLAYS: 6 - 10 / $33.50 Race 1 (4) BET I CAN FLY ships in off a new life's mark taken in his most recent start and he goes for a new barn that can move one up immediately. He gets my call to take the opener. (5) REIKI went a long trip pressuring very fast fractions at London last time, now he comes up tagged again here in a spot where he fits well. (10) I C TRUE GRIT obviously has the worst post to overcome, but Macdonald is one of the better drivers at leaving from outer posts and he merits Pick 5 inclusion here. (3) BIG BANG BOOM is worth a look for the exotics dropping back in for a tag. Race 2 (7) STIRLING BOUDICA fits this class like a glove and the outer post should be no issue for her here; call to repeat. (10) THE POWER OF MANY may get overlooked here from post 10, but she is capable of landing on the board and providing some exotics value. (8) AIR GLIDER was no match for the choice last time and he is at a post disadvantage here; small share predicted. (1) MARQUIS VOLO has seen better days, but he is likely to wake up at some point racing in this class. Race 3 (2) MCCOVEY COVE N's race two back puts her right there with these and her last race when leaving from the 2nd tier in Flamboro's top class is a toss; slight nod. (6) JORDIES HOPE is the hot mare and obvious one to beat, but she will likely be overbet this time after going off as an overlay last week. (3) SODWANA BAY looks like the best of the rest and she's always around the money. (5) REYS IN A ROCKET was easily handled by Jordies Hope last time and Moreau has been ice cold recently; smaller share predicted. Race 4 (4) MACH THE CUT goes for a barn that sends them ready and she has been better in each of her qualifiers preparing for this seasonal debut; top call. (3) BEACH GODDESS was no match for a sharp sophomore stakes filly last time, but she has come back around and fits here; using. (5) ASKMYSECRETARY passed some horses in a quick final 1/4 last week. She's worth a look vs. these. (7) MACHNHOPE raced against some good ones last year, but she probably needs this race as a springboard to her stakes season. Race 5 (2) NAUGHTY LADY B was used hard most of the way last time when dropped to this class and she tired late. A better trip gets her a win here. (1) SHEZAREALDEAL still sits at zero wins for the year, but the way she has been racing lately, she should break through soon. (7) WHISTYS PARADISE'S potent late kick should play better in this class; using. (3) BERNADETTE had a rough trip last time and stopped. She can take a slice here with a better trip. Race 6 (3) TOUCHDOWN AS won in a higher class than this one six starts back. With the big class drop here, a wakeup effort is likely. (5) ABSOLUT SEELSTER had a chance to slide out behind the winner last time when the leader was stopping, but he was kept in with disastrous results. A better drive puts him in the picture here. (4) GLENCOVE ZANI can close for a share here if he can stay flat and he should be a big price. (7) JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL takes a slight drop here off a decent effort. She can take a share here, too. Race 7 (4) TEARFUL OF HAPPY drops following a tough trip on the front end. She should last much longer vs. these. (1) PARTY IN ROME also drops and she projects to get a good trip near the front here. Toss her on Pick 4 tickets. (2) GIA DIAMOND steps up off a sharp effort and Jamieson sticks. She can share here. (3) ROCKN OPIUM will likely be overbet and she goes for a cold barn here. I'll use underneath only. Race 8 (9) JENKINS CREEK goes for trainer Shepherd off the claim and he should clear these before they hit the opening 1/4 which will make him tough in here. (2) BADSTORMANYPORT beat similar two starts back and he'd be no shock here if he popped up and won. (7) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP was beaten by a rival that came back to win twice since and if he is sharp despite missing a bit of time, he figures here. (5) TOMY TERROR can finish on the fringes again here for a minor award. Race 9 (5) JEWELONTHEBEACH N qualified faster than many of these race and the barn sends them ready; top call. (1) REQUEST FOR PAROLE should be prominent vs. easier here, but notice she is only 1 for 13 so far this year and she is likely to be overbet, too. (4) BUTTERMILK HANOVER is capable with the right trip; using in the Pick 4. (6) FOREVER LIZA will probably be passing horses late in the mile here to land on the edges. Race 10 I'm going to take a swing with infrequent winner (1) DEVILS PEAK here off the Puddy claim. (8) COWBOYS DONT CRY can be erratic, but he is capable at this level and I'll use him in the late Pick 4. (3) FERN HILL BREEZE couldn't get by the leader last time, but with a different trip, he is capable of bouncing back. (9) JDCYRIL moves to the outermost post here and he will have company looking for the front off the gate. A small share might be his ceiling this time. Race 11 (1) JACLYN HANOVER raced well when Macdonald took over and he sticks here. I'll give her the nod in what looks like a wide-open finale. (2) VILLAGE JAMIE drops, and she could take this group all the way on the lead. (8) KIWI FOCUS N also drops and should be heard from here. (6) JUSTABIT MEAN is a good closer to use underneath in exotic bets. (7) TWENTY THREE RED can share if she can leave well enough to get a spot in the top five early here.
