Mohawk: Monday 9/8 Analysis

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: SKIPPIN BY (10th)

Race 1

(7) YOURE MAJESTIC looks like she will get the most attention in this dash from the betting public with her 3-1-1 record from five starts this season and over $90K earned. (10) NORDIC HOLIDAY will need to overcome post 10, but also has terrific manners this season and shows quick speed needed for this type of dash. (4) DELCREST MASSY draws well again this week for trainer Vic Puddy and went a credible effort last week timed in 1:58 1/5.

Race 2

(2) PAPER BACKED LINDY will make his third start on lasix and already shown a better result with a first and third-place finish in each of his last two starts. (7) SMARTY PANTS is easy to rank on top in this bottom condition, but she doesn't like to win races over the past two years therefore I elected to pick her second. (1) MIDFIELD MAGIC gets the rail to his credit this week and should make the most of the easier class.

Race 3

(1) MY SECRET BELLE draws the rail and has been a dominant filly in this provincial program this season. (2) LADY SHADOW appears to be My Secret Belle's main threat from a post two start and convincing win last start at Georgian Downs. (4) SECTIONLINE AQUA has hit the board in each of her last four starts, including a win last week in 1:52 1/5 for trainer Steve Bauder.

Race 4

(8) CLASSY HILL comes from the Tony Alagna barn and will make his first career start after a pair of qualifiers. (2) UTAH BEACH draws inside for trainer/driver Joe Hudon and the Somebeachsomewhere colt hasn't won yet in five starts this season, but continues to improve in each outing and was timed in 1:53 3/5 last week. (6) LANCASTER PARK was developed on the East Coast before shipping to the O'Sullivan camp and will make his second career appearance.

Race 5

(4) NOBLE FLIGHT gets a much better post to work with this week, gets Christoforou back in the bike and drops in class. (3) MURMUR HANOVER enjoyed a patented two-hole trip last week and settled for second in his seventh start of the season. (2) ROCKYS FIRST draws inside, gets a Hall of Fame pilot in his corner and has been much better in his last three starts.

Race 6

(8) SPORTSKEEPER has won three of four starts this season, comes from the Casie Coleman barn and gets Jody Jamieson in the bike. (6) DRACHAN HANOVER was an impressive winner last week in 1:52 for high percentage trainer Marcel Barrieau. (5) INDIAN OUTLAW makes his way onto this circuit and enters the Tony O'Sullivan barn.

Race 7

(9) SWAN IN A MILLION remains undefeated since arriving in the Dustin Jones stable in early August and the six-year-old has risen the ranks on this circuit and become a prime contender at the Preferred level. (2) DAYLON MAGICIAN has over $1.6 million worth of back class to his credit and was a recent winner in this class two starts back. (10) CHARMED LIFE raced terrific last week at Tioga Downs in the Miss Versatility against the finest aged trotting mares in the sport.

Race 8

(6) YS LOTUS has won three of six starts this series and has been a new recruit into the Rick Zeron barn two starts ago. (9) EASTENDER has a terrific record this season coming into this dash with three wins from five starts along with one second-place finish. (5) COURAGEOUS C has won two of three starts this season and will debut for new trainer Gord Remmen.

Race 9

(1) CHARLIE IS A JOKER gets the rail to his advantage this week and was been a recent addition to the Baillargeon barn. (4) AMIGO DE GRANDE has a good record this season, comes from the Carmen Auciello barn and draws well once again this week. (7) RAMZAN has been the picture of consistency as the classy trotter has hit the board in 12 of 15 starts this season for trainer Richard Moreau.

Race 10

(6) SKIPPIN BY was a game second in her most recent outing with a 1:49 4/5 individual time. (7) BRESCIA SEELSTER was put on the front last week as the favourite and faltered down the stretch to finish eighth. (2) A FILLY AFFAIR appears one-dimensional with her gate-speed for trainer/owner Mark Herlihy.

Race 11

(4) RANSOM DEMAND is well overdue for his first career win for trainer/owner Brad Maxwell. The three-year-old gelding has finished in the runner-up position five of seven starts this season. (1) DECISIVE DESTINY draws the rail and has been the favourite in each of his last two starts. (7) MEGATRON has been lightly raced over the past two seasons, but shows the speed and will now debut for new trainer Stephen Davis.
