Race 4 - $75,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: INTIMIDATE (2nd)

Spot Play: ZORGWIJK JOCK (9th)

Race 1

(1) WHIMZICAL BRITT gets the rail and gets major post relief. This is a wide open event and she likes to follow a helmet and should receive that trip. (3) RUSH N SUPREME qualified well and has a good overall record this season. He has a high percentage driver and the horse has some back class. (5) WHEELS now comes out of the Menary barn and that's the main reason for my selection. He'll need a trip, but is capable.

Race 2

(4) INTIMIDATE is clearly the horse to beat in this group. He's won six of seven starts this season and has been winning at ease. (5) KNOWS NOTHING won from post 10 last week, but moves up in class. He's been much better in his last four starts. (1) TAKE MY PICTURE gets the rail and is very versatile. He's got a good record this season and is a good option for the triactor.

Race 3

(8) SURPRISE HANOVER raced in the Champlain Stakes two starts ago and finished third last week in this class. He has the speed and is due for his first career score. (2) MAJOR HOMER draws inside and has a good record this season despite not winning. (7) SWISS BANK HANOVER has the speed, but will need the right trip. He's tried it on the front in recent weeks and needs a better final quarter.

Race 4

(8) COUGAR HALL has won three of his last five starts and drops in class. He won at this level just two starts ago and has terrific gate-speed. (2) BLUE CHIP SUNSHINE draws inside and has been racing very consistently in this class. He has the speed and should benefit from the post relief. (1) DAVIDS DREAM draws the rail and has won two straight. He's at his best when he's on the front and that may happen with a post one start.

Race 5

(2) KASHS CAVIAR debuts for the second time for Johnson and draws much better. He gets Jamesion back in the bike and should be better placed. (3) ZEUS LIGHTNING finished second in this class and has a lot of back class to him. He won at this level just three starts ago. (7) KILTED PRIDE won off the claim last week for trainer Auciello. He moves up in class, has gate-speed and has a good record this season.

Race 6

(7) BEACH RUNNER A M closed extremely well last week from tenth-to-fourth with a :26 4/5 final frame. He was timed in 1:51 2/5 and a repeat effort makes him a top candidate. (4) ANNUITY has won just once from 19 starts this season, but is a good option for second. He gets McNair back in the bike, draws well and has paced a pair of fast miles. (6) PIERAZ has hit the board in two of his last three starts in this class. He has the speed, but will need the right off-the-pace trip.

Race 7

(8) SLIP INTO GLIDE drops in class and that's the main reason for my selection. He raced in the Preferred two starts ago and is certainly capable in this class. (3) CHINA PEARLS got the monkey off her back last week with a victory and moves up in class. She draws well, is versatile and gets Waples back in the bike. (9) DAYLON MIRACLE got a great trip in her latest in Delaware and has the gate-speed to overcome post nine. She gets the Jamieson/Gillis combination and is a contender at this level.

Race 8

(6) JETTINS DRAGON has won three of his last four starts and comes out of the Johnson barn. He's versatile, lightly raced and likely will be the favourite. (2) TAURANGA comes out of the O'Sullivan barn, draws inside and should provide a price. He's capable, but will need an inside trip. (4) REYS N A COMMOTION hasn't missed the board in 12 starts this season and will face his toughest test. He draws inside, has gate-speed and should be able to drop multiple seconds.

Race 9

(6) ZORGWIJK JOCK moves back onto this circuit from the Moreau barn and that's the main reason for my selection. Moreau has been very successful taking horses to other tracks then returning to Mohawk a winner. (7) GO GO RED MARTY has the speed and should provide a price. He has a decent record this season and drops in class. (3) NEW FAVOURITE has a good record this season, draws inside and has hit the board in recent weeks in this class. This is a wide-open race, but he's an outside option to spice up the triactor.

Race 10

(10) DRAVEN SEELSTER finished second in this class last start and is due for his first career win. He's been knocking on the door lately and comes from top connections. (5) ITALIAN REBEL comes out of Menary's barn and also has been knocking on the door in recent outings. At this level, he's a top contender. (7) O U DEVIL raced very well last week to close from ninth-to-third. He paced a strong mile with a good final frame.

Race 11

(8) LUCK BE WITHYOU has terrific gate-speed and a good win record this season. He's the richest horse in the field and likely the post time favourite. (9) FOR A BETTER TIME comes out of the Coleman barn and was an impressive winner in his latest. He'll have to overcome post 10, but has terrific gate-speed. (1) SHADIOS has the speed and draws the rail. He comes out of Alagna's barn and is very versatile.

Race 12

(3) BARE NECESSITY won at this level two starts ago and draws better. He comes out of Moreau's barn and is classified right. (7) DUKE DID IT has finished second in this class in each of his last three appearances. He's versatile and may offer a fair price. (6) ALLAMERICAN EXTRA provided the 73-1 stunner last week in this class. He draws well and the same tactics may be applied once again this week.
