L A Delight has never been defeated in Ontario Sires Stakes competition

Jugette champion L A Delight backed up that performance with a dominating 1:50 3/5 score in her C$105,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Series event for 3-year-old filly pacers on Friday night at Mohawk Racetrack.

Driven by Randy Waples, L A Delight was second at the 26 1/5 opening quarter, but she would take over the lead past that marker and go on to hit the half in 55 4/5 and the three-quarters in 1:23 4/5.  Up by a length and three-quarters on Divas Image (Joe Bongiorno) at three-quarters, L A Delight stretched that margin out to fourth lengths with an eighth of a mile to go, and reached the finish line 3 1/2 lengths to the good over Windsun Glory (Doug McNair).  Divas Image wound up third.

L A Delight, a Bettor's Delight filly, is trained by Bob McIntosh, who also bred and co-owns her with Al McIntosh Holdings Inc. and C S X Stables.  L A Delight picked up her 19th win from 26 career starts, and she has now earned C$1,226,663.  The 1-5 favorite, L A Delight paid $2.60 to win.

In the other division, favored Mayhem Seelster (Sylvain Filion) won by a length and three-quarters in 1:52 1/5 after she led through stations of 27, 57, and 1:24 1/5.  Lay Lady Lay (Chris Christoforou) was the runner-up and Bourbon Seelster (Mike Saftic) collected third.

Tony O'Sullivan trains Mayhem Seelster, a daughter of Mach Three, for owner Domenic Chiaravalle.  This was her eighth victory from 23 lifetime tries, and she now shows a bankroll of C$379,895.  Sent off at 3-2, she returned $5.00 to win.
