Mohawk: Horses to watch from Sept. 8 - Sept. 13

Email

Thursday, September 8

DEVILS ADVOCATE (NW2) tucked past the quarter, pulled uncovered, challenged, tucked again as the pocket opened but was proven second best as the pacesetting prohibitive favorite was much too much.

BADLANDS DELIGHT (CLM12000FM) was out a long way, followed the winning favorite wide passing the third panel, rallied gamely and got up for second.

TORI HANOVER (NW1/2-3YOF) roared home from the moon in last to win going away. Odds-on favorite should continue to stun foes and impress her fans.

JUSTALITTLEFASTER (12/15000CLMHCP) veteran finished ful lof trot in last from an impossible spot and should not be ignored.

Friday, September 9

FOREVER LIZA (NW10000FM) beaten favorite finished best of all but had too much ground to make up.

PARTY IN ROME (NW15000FM) finished strong between horses but the winner was just too much.

TOTALLY RIPPED (NW3800) tucked, got a mild shuffle, pulled and brushed to the lead and was best in last outing.

KATIE SAID (PRF FM) was a game uncovered 2nd best to the pacesetting favorite in last and should not be overlooked in next.

Saturday, September 10

BETTING LINE (SIMCOE) Casie Coleman charge is quite an obvious mention but it has to be noted of his absolutely game performance coming uncovered, grinding uncovered and never stopping until the winners circle posting an impressive :26 4/5 last panel to wipe out an eight length deficit in the Simcoe.

IDEAL WHEEL (CHAMPLAIN) Casie Coleman trained 2yo filly charged to the lead, blew away the field with quick pace and held safe in her division of the Champlain as she apparently was choking a bit. That will be corrected and this miss should get even better.

ASAP HANOVER (NW13500) came wide, rallied gamely only to get nailed in the last steps.

BUDDHA BLUE CHIP (NW25000) was parked the mile, challenged througout and tired at 32-1. A better trip and you can cash on the 'Chip.'

HES A SENSATION (NW8000) closed a ton from the absolute back of the pack in last at 50-1 and can not be discounted in next.

Monday, September 12

DANCER HALL (NW10000/2YO) made a wide very determined bid but drifted very badly. If his connections can fix that, there should be a victory forthcoming.

DANISH N COFFEE (NW2FM) finished full of pace from an impossible spot in last.

LAURA HILL (NW1/2-3YOF) was parked a long way and chased uncovered to the lane before tiring and should improve with better trip.

GRANA PADANNO (NW14000) left, tucked, finished strong at 15-1 and should find the winners circle soon.

Tuesday, September 13

LADY GREY (NW1/2YOF) swung wide near near the back of the pack in the last turn and closed fastest of all at 30-1 in most recent.

INTIMIDATE (NW25000) beaten favorite had some traffic problems in the lane, cleared too late but finished willingly.

UTOPIA (NW7000) beaten favorite had too far to come in last but finished well once into the lane and can atone in no time.

WINDSONG LIGHTNING (NW4000) left to the top, yielded, got shuffled, pulled, rallied up, tucked the opening pocket, got a shuffle heading home when the lead changed, tipped, rallied strongest between horses in quite an eventful and impressive outing.

MR VARSITY (NW2) beaten favorite closed a ton from back of the pack and ran out of track.
