THEBESTOFROCKNROLL (CLMHCP10/12000FM) Went down the road as far as she could over a very tiring track and was strong enough to hold second best by a wide margin.
GUARD DOG (CLMHCP12/15000) Tucked early, pulled to the half, brush to the lead, tired but was easily held the rest in second place finish. Beaten favorite should atone with speed favoring track.
YUMMY SUSHI (NW2FM) Beaten favorite pulled early, brushed to the top, set a good clip, held stubbornly but was nailed by the well bet second choice and appeared beaten by the track not the competition.
WINDSONG IDOL (NW2) Brushed to the top coming to the half, set a good clip and tired but dug in and was five better than all but the winner. Beaten favorite was another one victimized by the oval on a bad night for speed.

NINA COLEADA (NW8000FM) Finished full of pace from an impossible spot on a night that was impossible to win from there.
WORTH THE MONEY AS (NW8100) Left well, tucked, came uncovered, chased the favorite home and refused to go away while trying to the wire.
MAUREEN ROCKS (NW25000FM) Rallied from third over in a weak outer tier and popped in a :26.2 last panel over a speed favoring oval.
PLANET EARTH (NW5500) Flashed a :27.3 last panel while trotting up a storm through the lane but had much too far to come chasing a wrapped up winner from 4th over.
Saturday, June 16
WESTERN ALUMNI (CLMHCP20/30000) Seemed to be moving fastest when asked for a bit too much in the late stages. Perhaps he needs a `flat' line on his card before giving the same task but perhaps he doesn't so do not ignore.
MACHAL JACKSON (NW14000) Always seems to have the move but 3rd ov was a bit too much to ask in last.
BOMBAY AWAY (NW5000) Followed the wide flow into the lane and closed best of all but had too far to come.
ST ELMO HERO (NW25000) Finished gamely from back of the pack to nail it on the wire.
Monday, June 18
GUTSY GREG (OntS3YO) Came wide and game through the lane but had too far to come as the winner got away and refused to come back.
MARTINIONTHEROCKS (NW3) Sat in the pocket as the monster winner cruised home, searched, found room late, rallied willingly and was clearly second best.
PRESTIDIGITATOR (NW22000) Rallied well from an impossible 5th over and was putting in fast steps nearing the wire. Beaten favorite was just too far back to get it done.
WINBAK WARRIOR (NW4) Took his sweet time to get going trailing all but the breakers until the third panel, hit overdrive, set down and powered home with mighty strides but ran out of track despite an amazing :26.1 stretch rally.
Best Bets
LOVE TO RUN was rarin' to go first out in two months, so much so that he rocketed through a six-furlong split of 1:08.79 seconds - faster than Cross Traffic in the Westchester at the same one-mile distance a few days earlier; back-to-back Belmont wins last year included one rallying from next-to-last, so he may make good use of outside draw to track COLIZEO. The latter drops to same second-level condition where he won big first off R-Rod claim; reunited with Jose Ortiz, who was aboard for that score on wet track.
