Mohawk: Horses to watch from July 6 to July 11

Monday, July 6

WHISKEY TAX (NW12000) rushed up uncovered, challenged and roared by pulling away heading home.

BUGGER BRUISER (NW4500) brushed, crushed and should be able to take another.

COCO LINDY (NW18000) beaten favorite brushed to the lead coming to the half, rolled along but could not last. Can atone in next so do not ignore.

CAN I SAY (NW7500) rushed up coming past the half, challenged and drew off through the lane and should be hard to beat in next.

Tuesday, July 7

MAGICAL GEM (NW1/3YO) was in the pocket when the speed tired, rallied all out and dug in while tiring only to be nailed late by the fresher fast-closing winner.

SHADOW NEWTON (CLM15000/3-4YO) battled with the odds on winner and refused to go away but just missed coming back after seemingly beaten heading home. Gameness counts and earns a look in next.

ELECTRIC WESTERN (NW2) was one of a couple in traffic-challenged field that were victimized by bad luck. Rallied four wide and game to the end and earns long look in next.

BRINGHOME THEBLUE (NW2) was another in same race that rallied gamely through the lane between horses to gain second from bad spot.

ABSOLUTELY OFFICIAL (NW2) was jammed up going wide around a clogger and raced three deep a long time flattening in the lane.

SHOULDHAVEBETMORE (NW2) was jammed up going wide around same clogger and broke losing any chance for a piece of the pie.

Thursday, July 9

UTOPIA (CLMHCP12/15000) finished with good trot but much too late. Can land in the picture with a better trip, a more favorable track or earlier move.

DAZZLING ROCKETTE (CLM15000/3-4YOFM) came wide into the lane with good finish but it was too much to ask on a night when speed ruled.

THREE DREAMS (OntSS) beaten favorite closed well from 2nd over and can atone in next.

TAHITI SEELSTER (OntSS) left and tucked early, got shuffled, had to come wide in the final turn from back of the pack and did so with a rousing finish to nail it on the wire.

Friday, July 10

THE BIG BEAST (OntSS) was bothered early, found a tuck, pulled to the half, grinded uncovered and closed gamely for second off the tough luck trip.

ANARCHY HANOVER (OntSS) was looking for room along a tight rail in last and left the course.

GERRIES SPORT (OntSS) was in traffic to the lane, tipped wide, closed stoutly but had too far to come.

WILD CHANCE (OntSS) closed wide and strong but the winner had gotten away.

Saturday, July 11

ARAMBLIN HANOVER (NW3) rallied uncovered, challenged, had aim but had supplied cover to the favorite who went by in the late stages.

LIGHTS GO OUT (NW8500FM) sat to the rear and rallied late. Took some money and could have done better with the right trip.

PRESCOTTS HOPE (NW13000) left, tucked, pulled and brushed to the lead, set a good clip and battled to the wire but nailed by the pocket sitting odds-on three-move winner.

ELLIS PARK (NW13000) three-move winners must be noted and this one is to be heard from again.

CARRACCI HANOVER (NW7800) was far back, put it all together with big stretch finish but it was too late.
