Mohawk: Horses To Watch for July 19 - July 23

Thursday, July 19

BREEZIN ON BYE (NW1FM) Left well, grabbed the top, yielded, got shuffled behind a quitting pocket horse, angled for freedom in the lane, found it too late but was more than willing.

WORLD CUP (NW2) Cruised home a winner in last and can take another with any kind of trip.

DONT TELL MOM (CLM10000) Finished well from the back of the pack on a speed favoring evening and might be a price in next race or two.

PAPER BACKED LINDY (NW2) Had too far to come as the winner got away. Beaten favorite can atone with an earlier move or better cover.

Friday, July 20

VEGAS VACATION (2YO) Left well, yielded, retook, set a good clip over a tiring track and could not last. Can get it done with right trip.

RED STAR HANNAH (NW5000FM) Made a long uncovered bid, challenged from the half to the wire. Put away the leader in the last steps but was nailed by the pocket horse.

ST LADS PENNY LANE (OntS) Trailed to the stretch, rallied inside, ran into a roadblock in the late stages, jerked out looking for room, found it too late or she may have pulled off a 35-1 surprise.

THEBESTOFROCKNROLL (CLMHCP15/20000FM) Had horrible luck and a miserable trip getting parked from start to finish. She gave it all she had challenging to the stretch before packing it in.

Saturday, July 21

SWEET HEDGE (NW13000FM) Battled stubbornly through the lane trying to hold off the favorite but came up a half-step short.

MC TAYLOR (NW8000FM) Put it all together a bit too late. Game rally came up a neck short but a short neck it was.

BULLET SPEED (NW14000) Went down the road in game much the best scoring romp. He managed to edge further away at the end despite wandering off the rail in the late stages.

FORECLOSURE N (PRF) Scored from off the pace on a speed favoring evening. Favorite gave them all a chance as he sat 4th over before exploding home.

Monday, July 23

LIFEIMITTATESART (NW2) Favorite came home fast enough to indicate he should be able to win another and perhaps even another.

OVER AND OUT (NW5000) Followed wide into the lane and through the stretch from an impossible spot finishing strongly and cannot be ignored.

ROUSH HANOVER (NW13000) Beaten favorite got stuck wide too far to launch his best late bid and can atone in next.

MANCHESTER HANOVER (NW5000) Was moving fastest at the wire but hit his best stride too late from third over.
