Hannelore Hanover never faced a serious threat in her facile Miss Versatility victory Friday at Mohawk

Hannelore Hanover, who tied the world record of 1:51 in her Armbro Flight Stakes victory at Mohawk Racetrack on June 18, returned to the same oval for a leg of the Miss Versatility Series Friday night, and she would win again in 1:53 4/5.  Elegant Serenity won the other C$30,000 division.

Driven by Sylvain Filion, Hannelore Hanover was in front through stations of 28, 56 3/5, and 1:26 on her way to a 5 1/4 length decision over Charmed Life (Jody Jamieson).  Rules Of The Road (Paul MacDonell) finished third.

A 4-year-old daughter of Swan For All, Hannelore Hanover is trained by Ron Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., and Frank Baldachino.  She now has 17 wins from 30 career starts, including an eight-for-nine mark this year, and she has now earned C$566,574.  The 1-9 favorite, Hannelore Hanover paid $2.10.

In the other section, Jewels In Hock (Jack Moiseyev) was on top through panels of 28 1/5, 57 2/5, and 1:25 3/5, but first-over challenger Elegant Serenity (Roger Mayotte) wore her down late to prevail by a neck in 1:54 4/5.  White Becomes Her (Mario Baillargeon) took third.

Mayotte also trains Elegant Serenity, a 4-year-old filly by Kadabra, for owner/breeder Doug Millard.  Elegant Serenity won for the seventh time from 23 trips behind the gate, and she has now banked C$487,690.  Sent off at 3-1, Elegant Serenity returned $8.80.
