Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: MAJOR DANCER (2nd)

Spot Play: BEE FULLOF STEINAM (4th)

Race 1

(1) HAPPILY EVER AFTER was a beaten favourite in last week’s opening round of the Town Pro Series and had to settle for third. (2) POLK DOT HANOVER raced extremely well in her latest closing from tenth-to-fourth in deep stretch. (5) SAM enjoys racing from behind and a short field only increases her chances. She used her usual tactics last week in the opening round as he came off cover with a :26 4/5 final quarter to finish second in a dead-heat.

Race 2

(1) MAJOR DANCER didn't disappoint in last week's opening round as she scored a comfortable victory for trainer Coleman. (7) PALM BEACH HANOVER caught me by surprise last week with her victory in 1:52 4/5, a new career best. (2) BROOKDALE SHADOW comes out of the Gold Series this past Monday and into this contest after missing last week’s opening round.

Race 3

(7) REBEKA BAYAMA moves up in class for a fourth week in a row following three straight wins on this circuit. She now faces the best mares in the province and appears to be up to the task. (6) FERRARI SENA returns to Moreau's barn where she enjoyed a 6-2-1 record from nine starts last season under his conditioning along with a victory in this class and a Girls Night Out Series sweep. (5) VOELZ HANOVER closed very well in her latest for trainer Johnson with a :26 3/5 final frame to finish third at this level.

Race 4

(6) BEE FULLOF STEINAM gets much needed class relief and should enjoy racing at this level. (3) TRUE REFLECTION was the favourite last week in this class and finished second after receiving a pocket trip. (4) MACHET ROCKET doesn't have the best record this season and will need to improve in here. She generally offers a low price when competing at this classification and offers a lot of versatility for driver Zeron.

Race 5

(10) POCKET TRIP looks like the best horse in paper in this field with his 4-1-0 record from five starts this season, including a win last week in this class. (8) DEMENTED stamped herself as a top threat after adapting nicely to this circuit with a second-place performance last week in this class. (2) THE MUSCLER has been racing very well this season and shouldn't get overlooked in here. He was a winner two back in this class from a post 10 start and begins from the inside.

Race 6

(7) ITS NO SECRET has terrific closing speed and gets class relief. She's raced as high as the Fillies & Mares Preferred just four starts ago and should benefit much better in here. (9) GREYSTONE LADYLIKE has been much better in recent weeks for trainer Belore. She had a mini vacation earlier this spring and has responded nicely since the time off. (4) RUB N TUG has over $400K of back class to offer and drops in class after finishing third at a higher level last week.

Race 7

(9) IGNITE THE NITE crushed her foes in her Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots division in her latest by over eight lengths. (6) MURRAYFIELD draws in the middle of the gate and has a solid record this season. She received a vacation following the completion of the Blizzard Series at Woodbine in January and since then moved into the Wallace barn. (4) REGALLY READY draws inside for McNair and raced very well in her latest following a first-over trip to finish second at 12-1.

Race 8

(7) MISTER HERBIE received a beautiful trip in his season debut last week from Hall of Famer Condren. He got away ninth in the early going, but was positioned second-over turning for home and used a :27 2/5 final quarter to finish second. (8) SLIP INTO GLIDE comes out of the Baillargeon barn and much like Mego Moss, he's been the picture of consistency. (10) MEGO MOSS has hit the board in 10 of 11 starts this season and has raced stronger since the addition of lasix five starts back.

Race 9

(5) ST LADS PEEPER has been a threat at this level for the past two weeks and is due for a win. (3) LIGHTS GO OUT is a good option for the exactor with her terrific record this season. She made an uncharacteristic break two back, which I will overlook as she was a game third in last week's contest. (6) REQUEST FOR PAROLE received a third-over trip last start and used a :27 final quarter. She comes out of the Johnson barn, shows quick speed and banked over $100K last season as a sophomore.

Race 10

(4) SOMETHININCREDIBLE was my upset pick last week, but she was locked and loaded throughout the mile and didn't receive a clear path. (3) TAKE THAT HANOVER likely will be the favourite when she lines up behind the gate after her third-place finish in the Fan Hanover final in her most recent start at 76-1. (6) WILDCAT BEAUTY got the job done last week in gate-to-wire fashion by a head in a new career best.

Race 11

(9) CHERYLS SURPRISE has a terrific record this season and is due for her first win for trainer Auciello since the claim on May 1. (5) BEST RISQUE also has a terrific record this season and will debut for new trainer Kyle Fellows. She's been racing very competitively at a lower claimer on the `B' tracks and draws well in here. (3) MOMENT TO CHERISH has been racing well in recent weeks and finished second in this class last week at 30-1. She draws inside, enjoys being put into the race and has responded nicely with her efforts.
