Mohawk: Friday 5/31 Analysis

Race 4 - $75,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (2 - 4 / $4.80): MOTOWN MUSCLE (4th)

Race 1

(2) ALL CANTAB draws inside and is fresh off a win in this class last week. He'll likely be forwardly-placed much like last week. (10) PLANET EARTH drops in class and won at this level just two starts ago. He'll have to overcome the outside, but shows gate-speed. (6) EASTER TEKA moves onto this circuit and has hit the board in two of his three starts this season. He had a solid campaign last year and gets Jamieson in the bike.

Race 2

(8) BEE A MAGICIAN appears to be the queen of this division so far this season and dominated her rivals last week. She's without a doubt the filly to beat. (3) ANGIES LUCKY STAR raced terrific last week from a post 10 start. That was her debut for new trainer Moreau and she draws better this week. (2) ROCKIN WITH DEWEY has won two straight and has yet to miss the board this season. She's a logical choice for the triactor.

Race 3

(3) TWIN B ELITE draws inside and drops in class. She comes from a top percentage trainer in Wallace and was timed in 1:52 3/5 last start. (6) SAM SWIFTY won in this class last week and is capable once again. She'll begin from the same post and likely will provide a higher price once again. (2) SHADYS M THREE is considered a longshot, but she draws well and drops in class. She'll need a trip and gets Waples once again.

Race 4

(1) MOTOWN MUSCLE hasn't found the winner's circle yet this year, but she raced very well last week considering her post 10 start. I think she's the best in here from post one. (6) CHARMED LIFE came from off-the-pace last week en route to a solid second place effort. She's got a good record this season and minds her manners each start. (3) SEEUINTHESPRING was simply too far back last week and wasn't in contention. She certainly has enough trot to belong in this group and will likely offer a price.

Race 5

(8) BAROCKEY was won seven times from 18 starts this season. She's down in class after finishing third at a higher class last week. She's a major player in this race. (2) GRACIE MONTANA found the winner's circle last week in this class and gets a new trainer. She'll likely come from behind and quick speed on the front only helps. (6) RACHEL OLIVIA is at her best when she's put into the race and that will likely happen once again. She faces an easier bunch and has enough speed.

Race 6

(1) KENNEL BUDDY draws the rail and was timed in 1:54 4/5 last week and that speed should be fast enough to win. He comes out of the McNair barn and remains at the same level he finished second at. (7) WITHOUT A CLUE found the winners circle last week and still fits this class. He did all the work on the front-end en route to victory and the same tactics will likely be tried once again. (9) COE LEADER will make his third start of the campaign and continues to improve and drop time. He'll need a trip from post nine, but I feel he's capable of being top three.

Race 7

(8) HOPE FOR PADDY gets significant class relief. She finished third in the Preferred last week and that makes her a top candidate in here. (1) MACH A WISH also drops out of the same class and draws the rail. This class is much better suited for her and she comes out of the O'Sullivan barn. (4) CAMS VAN GO also comes from trainer O'Sullivan and this mare has been racing very well to start her season. She's hit the board in each of her three starts this season and is finishing her miles very strongly.

Race 8

(3) SIM BROWN might offer a price in here, but he drops in class and draws well. He hasn't been at his best in recent starts so I'm looking for a rebound effort. (5) EXPRESS GLIDE closed well last week to finish fourth from a post eight start. He draws better this week and drops in class. (8) TALBOTCREEK JEWELY did most of the work last week before fading to fourth. She's certainly capable in this field and might not offer a price.

Race 9

(8) WISKYWISKY NANCY O is fresh off a win at Western Fair and makes the move onto this circuit. It's a wide-open race and I'm looking for a price. Belore is a high percentage trainer and this mare has won in this class before. (1) PRECIOUS CAMMILL draws the rail and will make her third start of the season. She hit the board last week from the same post. (3) SIGNAL is a chancy play as she makes her first start of the season. She qualified well, draws inside and hopefully provides a price.

Race 10

(2) BURNING BEACHES might offer a price considering she had some time off. She's qualified well, draws inside and has a good record this season. (3) AIR MILES HANOVER doesn't like to win, but providing the right trip, she's very capable of hitting the board. She draws well, shows enough pace and comes out of O'Sullivan's barn. (1) HERESTOJESSICA finished second in this class last week and draws much better. She has provided a decent price in her last two starts and that may happen again.

Race 11

This is a wide-open race, but (5) SET ME UP raced very well last week at Western Fair considering he made a break. She appears to have the speed to compete at this level and enjoys being put into the race. (1) BLUEBIRD CREEK moves into the Wallace barn and that's part of the reason for my selection. She draws inside and has a very good record this season. (6) SOMEWHEREINHEAVEN finished third in her seasonal debut last week. She's well bred and continues to drop time. She also had a very good record last season.

Race 12

(9) GARETH NOURRIR comes out of the Moreau barn and drops in class. He's classified accordingly and is very capable in here. (6) POPPYS BUCKY BOY won at this level two starts ago and returns to the same class. He's a top contender, but will need a trip. (4) WHITS YOUR MAJOR finished third in this class last week and is capable once again. He has received terrific post positions as of late and gets Zeron in the bike.
