Mo Faster suprises at Indiana Downs

The 12-1 Mo Faster stalked the early pace to the outside and drove clear late to win the $70,000 William Henry Harrison at Indiana Downs Saturday evening.

Trained by Ron Brown, the 6-year -old gelding bided his time early while Unreachable Star set very fast early fractions in the six-furlong race. Jockey Fernando De La Cruz asked Mo Faster for his best and he responded, drawing clear late to win by two lengths. Unreachable Star, under Rex Stokes III, set fractions of 22 and 44.40 before tiring to finish second, three-quarters of a length in front of Father John in third. Mo Faster ran the six furlongs in 1.09.98 over a fast track and returned $27.60 to win.
