Miss Indiana features rematch

Queen of Tee will try to make it two in a row against Indiana-bred 2-year-old fillies when she faces seven others in the $100,000 Miss Indiana at Hoosier Park.

Trained by Genaro Garcia, Queen of Tee comes into the Miss Indiana off a hard-fought win in the $100,000 City of Anderson on Oct. 11. In that 5 1/2-furlong event, Queen of Tee was kept just off a quick pace to upper stretch by Inocensio Diego, where she took over and prevailed by a neck after a stretch-long duel. It was her first lifetime win, in her third start. Queen of Tee will be coupled with Maid to a Tee, one of only three fillies to have won at the six-furlong distance of the Miss Indiana.

Nightly Ritual was the runner-up to Queen of Tee in the City of Anderson. Prior to that good effort, she won her maiden locally by an impressive 8 1/2 lengths. She has yet to attempt six furlongs, but may benefit from a seven-pound shift in the weights. Both fillies carried 117 in the City of Anderson, but because of the conditions of the race, Queen of Tee will carry 121, while Nightly Ritual was assigned 114.

Trust N Seven, Boonetown Gal, Circle City Sizzle, Eskimo's Best, and My Isabell complete the field.
