Miss Crissy takes La Prevoyante

Email

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Favored Miss Crissy found room in the stretch and went on to capture the $137,125 La Prevoyante Stakes at Woodbine on Saturday by 1 1/2 lengths.

Miss Crissy saved ground on the turn, stalking front-running Cricket Wicket in the one-mile turf race. She was angled into the two path for the stretch run by jockey Steven Bahen, hit the front at the three-sixteenths pole, and held off a bid from Kabul. My Sweet Tooch finished third in the 10-horse field of Ontario-sired 3-year-old fillies. The final time was 1:36.28.

Miss Crissy ($6.80) banked $82,275 for Harlequin Ranches and trainer Emile Allain.
