Miss Blue Tye Dye an easy winner

Miss Blue Tye Dye made it look easy when defeating four other Pennsylvania-bred fillies and mares in the $75,000 Ga Hai at Presque Isle Friday night.

Unhurried, early in the six-furlong event, Miss Blue Tye Dye, under jockey Frankie Pennington, circled the field on the turn and drew off to win by 3 1/4 lengths while being taken in hand late. Trained by Bob Reid Jr., Miss Blue Tye Dye returned $3.60 as the favorite and ran the six furlongs in 1.10.67 over the Tapeta surface. She's Fancy Free was second, 3 3/4 lengths ahead of Meana Teena.

* Whistle Pig came from last to prevail in the $75,000 Leemat against Pennsylvania-bred. Jockey Eddie King asked Whistle Pig for his best in the stretch and the 4-year-old responded, drawing off in the 6 1/2-furlong event to win by a length and a half. Trained by Andrew Carter, Whistle Pig returned $3.60 as the favorite and was timed in 1.16.27. Thaddeus was second, two lengths ahead of Power by Leigh.
