Minister's Baby in top form

ALTOONA, Iowa - Trainer Ken McPeek will be at Pimlico Saturday to saddle Harlan's Holiday in the Preakness Stakes, but later McPeek will be well represented with Minister's Baby in the Diamond Trail Stakes at Prairie Meadows. Ten fillies and mares entered the $50,000 Diamond Trail.

Minister's Baby enters the mile and 70-yard stakes off a 10 1/2-length allowance score at Keeneland on April 19. Minister's Baby figures to stalk a hot early pace under the meet's leading rider, Terry Thompson.

A 4-year-old daughter of Deputy Minister, Minister's Baby has a record of 4-4-2 from 16 career starts, and has earned more than $149,000.

Delray Dew, a free-running daughter of Devil His Due, ships in from Aqueduct in search of her third straight win and figures to be part of the early pace under Glenn Corbett. Delray Dew has won 8 of her 16 career starts. Dick Clark trains Delray Dew.

Bold Bluff defeated Minister's Baby in her last start, a front-running neck allowance win at Keeneland going 1 1/16 miles on April 5. Trainer Niall O'Callaghan has named Ray Sibille to ride Bold Bluff on Saturday.
