ETOBICOKE, Ontario Milwaukee Appeal ($13.50) rallied wide from the back of the pack to capture her second consecutive stakes Sunday at Woodbine in the $150,400 Star Shoot, a six-furlong dash for 3-year-old fillies.

Milwaukee Appeal commenced a four-wide bid on the turn and hit the front at the head of the stretch en route to a length and three-quarter score in 1:10.90. Favored Deeveetee awaited room along the rail before closing outside for second, and Sans Sousi wound up third in the six-horse field.

Na Somsanith rode Milwaukee Appeal for trainer Scott Fairlie.

"She was feeling great before we went to the starting gate," Somsanith said. "She came out of there beautifully. She was closer (to the pace) than I expected. She wanted to go to the front, so I let her go."

Milwaukee Appeal, who won her previous start Nov. 30 in the Ontario Lassie, earned $90,000 for CEC Farm.
