Michigan breeders to host stallion season auction


The Michigan Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will host its annual online stallion season auction on Jan 26-27.

The auction, one of the key yearly fundraisers for the breeding organization, features more than 50 stallions from 11 states, with additional entries being accepted until the beginning of the sale.

Among the notable Kentucky stallions included in the season sale are Afleet Express, Bellamy Road, Drosselmeyer, Giant Oak, Hold Me Back, Line of David, Monarchos, and Student Council. Stallions residing in New York include Boys at Tosconova, Courageous Cat, D’Funnybone, Forty Tales, Lewis Michael, Santiva, and Soaring Empire, while Florida’s stallion roster is represented by Drill and Two Step Salsa.

The Michigan stallions with seasons entered in the auction include Baptistry, Elusive Hour, Equality, Gun Power, Monetary Star, Research, Syncline, Unbridled Energy, and Zulu Magic.
