The $40,000 James K. Hackett Memorial for sophomore Ohio-sired pacing fillies was the featured race on Friday night's card at Miami Valley, and it would result in a 1:52 4/5 track record performance by Up Front Flor Ida. Sent off at 6-1 from post two, Up Front Flor Ida was driven aggressively by Kayne Kauffman, shooting through and giving Just Zip It (Keith Crawford) a park-out to the 27 second opening quarter.  Things remained the same way at the 55 1/5 half, with 6-5 choice Kay Again (Chris Page) pulling to the outside from fourth to take a second-over position behind the hung-out Just Zip It. In the backstretch Page brought the favorite three-wide, and Kay Again would assume the first-over position as Up Front Flor Ida cut through three-quarters in 1:23 4/5, but around the last turn and through the stretch Up Front Flor Ida just kept going, winning by just over a length.  Kay Again had to settle for second, with Big Bad Goldie (Mike Wilder) third after a two-hole trip. Up Front Flo Rida is a daughter of Woodstock trained by Tim McKoy for owners Kevin McKinney and Virginia McKoy.  This was Up Front Flor Ida's fourth win from ten career starts, and she has now earned $43,324.  She paid $15.40 to win.
