Megahertz to Keeneland sale

Two-time Grade 1 winner Megahertz will sell at auction at Keeneland's upcoming November breeding stock sale, Taylor Made Farm announced Monday.

Megahertz, who has earned $2.2 million and won 13 stakes, will join champion Ashado and the Dr. Carter mare Cloud Break, dam of undefeated Grade 1 winner Lost in the Fog, in the Taylor Made consignment.

Megahertz is scheduled to run next in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Belmont on Oct. 29. She will sell at Keeneland as Hip No. 47 on Nov. 7, at the auction's opening session.

Campaigned by Michael Bello and trained by Bobby Frankel, Megahertz has a lifetime race record of 33-14-6-5 and $2,261,594 in earnings. Her Grade 1 victories came in the 2005 Yellow Ribbon Stakes and 2003 John C. Mabee Handicap, but she also has finished second or third in five other Grade 1 events.

Cheveley Park Stud bred Megahertz in Great Britain. She is a daughter of Pivotal and the winning Rahy mare Heavenly Ray.
