CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 133 - 385 / $687.40

Best Bet: AVENUE HANOVER (5th)    Spot Play: IDEAL MATTERS (8th)

Race 1

(4) BIG SKY HURRICANE is simply on an unbelievable form spree right now. I’ll stick with him. (1)THE EVICTOR got away slowly and had no chance last week. I have to assume Sears can keep him closer tonight. (2) PEMBROKE HEAT WAVE only needs a trip to threaten for the top spot. (3) ZOOMING didn’t fire last time but we all know how fast he can be.

Race 2

(7) BARN ART aired it out on the engine and tired last time. That was only his second start since March 2011. He has every right to step forward again; adds Lasix. (1) PALM BEACH BOY takes on a pretty awful bunch. He is supposed to race well in this spot. (5)ALA CARTE BILL wasn’t awful last time.

Race 3

(2) PEARL HANDLEPISTOL has stayed close to some decent older mares lately and should enjoy getting in against a field of 3-year-olds. (8) MIKELEH woke up to be a solid second in the Miss NJ. The only question is how this closer gets into the race from the outside post. (9) CLEAR VIEW HANOVER drops out of the same race. She is better than her last two lines would indicate.

Race 4

(8) MAIN A DIEU TOO blasted a field at Ocean Down and seems to have turned a corner since the barn change. I can see him playing with this bunch. (2) COOPERSTOWN KID drops a couple of classes and should show more. (5) HES A BEACHBOY improved with Tetrick in the bike. (4) JOE DE FINO went wire to wire in his last try at this level against a weaker field.

Race 5

(1) AVENUE HANOVER drops a bunch of classes and really should wake up. (8) VOICE OF TRUTH comes off a confidence building win at Tioga. (10) PEMBROKE NICK is the other big class dropper, but he is stuck in post 10 and couldn’t even get David Miller to pick off the always too late Social Network.

Race 6

(3) ROCKLAMATION raced well in the Lady Liberty against a better collection of mares. There are no excuses tonight. (2) KRISPY APPLE draws inside this week and should be closer to the action. (8) REBEKA BAYAMA was second in the Lady Liberty last time but might be too far out of it from post eight.

Race 7

(7) TRANSCENDING is in very light this week. You have to think Burke will have this guy on the top of his game. (2) GAELIC THUNDER drops, draws well and adds Sears. (5) MR COOLIE completes the class-dropping top three. We know he can pop a big mile here.

Race 8

(3) IDEAL MATTERS steps up the off two solid scores. This guy has enough class to best these. (9) ALLTHATGLTRSISGOLD was in tough against a field of 11 others in the US Pacing Championship. He sticks around the east coast and seems like a fit in here. (1) OSCAR OSCAR finds the easiest field he has seen in a while. (7) MICKEY HANOVER seems dull but could improve in his second start on Lasix.

Race 9

(2) CC RACY gets a slight driver upgrade and faces a lackluster group; I’ll bite. (3) MEGA LIGHTNING drops to the condition basement. Perhaps he can find a fast mile. (4) ARTS JIMMY RAY has two wins and a second in his last three starts at this level; the favorite.

Race 10

(4) MAJOR LOOK gets tested against older mares tonight, but she has already beaten better than she faces in this spot. (9) BILLIE BLUECHIP has proven time and again that she is a force to be reckoned with at this level. (1) RUB THING finally draws well; use.

Race 11

(7) SNIPER SEELSTER went wire to wire versus most of these last week. (8) INTHEBLINKOFANEYE reunites with Pierce. The only concern is a 3 week absence from racing. (1) LEMON DROP HALL raced well for his new connections.

Race 12

(6) HIT AWAY looks abysmal on paper, but I know what he can do here and this field is so bad that I want to look for a price. (1) AINTNOFOOLSGOLD was a good second last time. (4) T M TOP GUN only needs a smooth trip to get a piece.
