MEET STATS: 142 - 476 / $987.20

Best Bet: KEEP GOING (3rd)      Spot Play: INTHEBLINKOFANEYE (2nd)

Race 1

(4) LONG LIVE ROCK paid immediate dividends for me last time. Lightly raced gelding seems to have some ability. (10) ROCKWEILLER is clearly talented to win some races but remains 0 for 11 in his career; post hurts. (5) TATTLE TELL TEEN is an interesting shipper for Ray Remmen. (8) BLUES AT MIDNIGHT can’t be as bad as last week’s effort.

Race 2

(3) INTHEBLINKOFANEYE was in another time zone at the head of the lane; horses don’t win from tenth in the stretch. If Miller can keep him closer, he should win. (5) MOST HAPPY KEENE got back on the right track at Yonkers. (7) DA VISION OF ART is clearly in form.

Race 3

(6) KEEP GOING remains at a reduced level and gets Sears – go cash. (3) ARTISTS VIEW drops into a much better spot; using. (7) SHEER DESIRE showed some late life last time and does add Pierce.

Race 4

This is a tough race. I’m going to try (2) MORTAL ZIN, who looked superb in his Meadowlands qualifier and posted a strong time at Gaitway. (8) GRAMS LEGACY doesn’t face an easy field but gets in against his peers tonight; very capable. (3) BULLET BOB & (4) OH MY JOEPA are both sharp with speed.

Race 5

(5) BOLT THE DUER qualified sharply last time and seems to be getting better with each practice race. When they sprint home in :26 4/5 at Pocono during a qualifier, I have to assume they are ready. (3) MEL MARA was more aggressively handled in his second qualifier and looked pretty good. (1) SOCIAL NETWORK has some ability and comes with a partner. Time to step up.

Race 6

(1) ROCKINCAM brushed and lasted last week. I expect a similar move this time around. (8) GOLDEN RECEIVER seems likely to be on the engine and could go a long way. (4) MERIS HANOVER is another with early speed; sits the pocket? (10) BETTOR SWEET is a tough call in here. He only needs to be eighth to make the final. Does he leave or wait a week?

Race 7

(9) OSCAR OSCAR moves up the claiming ladder while on a tear. I see no reason why he can’t keep on winning. (2) COBALT MAN moves back inside and gets Sears this time; capable. (4) SOUTHWESTERN DREAM wasn’t bad considering the trip in his most recent try.

Race 8

(8) GIDDY UP DELIGHT races in a similar class but finds a much easier spot. He should roll down the road. (6) VEAL MARSALA wasn’t great in the AM but is certainly capable at this level. Let’s take a look at him in the post parade. (1) ART OF ILLUSION lured Campbell off the former.

Race 9

(4) DOUBLETROUBLE raced okay last time when you consider that he missed two months prior to that start. He drops to the basement tonight and can certainly perk up. (3) BLUE CLAW tried coming from off the pace last time and that really isn’t his game. He drops again and should be tough. (2) FROG JUICE has had some bad luck lately; chance.

Race 10

(3) A J CORBELLI steps up a bit but doesn’t face the toughest bunch. Pierce in the bike is a plus. (6) VERSADO has been racing very well and could steal this race. (2) PEDRO ISLAND should sit close to the action.

Race 11

(1) HONS LEAVIN FEEL finally gets a catch-driver in the bike. He gets one last shot from me. (3) LIVEFREEORDIEHARD gets a ton of class relief; must use. (4) BLUE BOY showed some life last week and gets a better post now.
