Email

CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 25 - 72 / $132.80

Best Bet: WE WILL SEE (10th)       Spot Play: AIR GUITAR HANOVER (4th)

Race 1

(6) LIVE ON made a big move last week and flattened. This guy tends to hang a bit late but this field did not come up very tough. I’d like to see Yannick gun this colt to the front and see what he can do. (1) JOE TERROR faced a monster last time. Don’t sell him short. (7) EIGHT TEN EOM has been facing tougher foes. He could be ready for more in his third start back.

Race 2

(2) SARANDON BLUE CHIP hails from a barn that has been firing on all cylinders with their youngsters. I’ll take a shot with this filly. (3) ROCKIN BELLE was locked in and finished up with good pace. Will she be overbet? (7) BABE PER VIEW was my top pick last week but seems to be in a tougher spot; mixed feelings.

Race 3

(1) WESTERN TRADEMARK arrives at the Meadowlands and finds a cushy spot. I’m expecting a big effort. (5) RISK MANAGEMENT comes off a nice confidence building score. He looked like a different horse last week. (7) BLUE CLAW is not winning but seems to get checks each week.

Race 4

(4) AIR GUITAR HANOVER chased a top filly last week. There is no such foe signed on tonight. Let’s look for speed and possibly a wire to wire win. (6) RAM ROCKER is another interesting Casie Coleman trainee. Her 1:53 3/5 mark from 2011 shows her ability. (7) IDEAL IN VEGAS has yet to impress me but certainly has a shot.

Race 5

(6) SIMPLY BUSINESS has a start under his belt now and finds a good spot to get aggressive. (7) HURRIKANE KINGCOLE has plenty of talent. If he leaves he has a much better shot at winning; tough call. (4) BRENT MONTANA was okay in his 2012 debut and could show more now.

Race 6

(5) ALEXIE MATTOSIE was used hard early in the mile last week and finished with the pack. He moves in a few posts this week and could have more tactical options. (3) BIG BAM RAY went a huge mile first-over last week. It is worth noting that Tetrick chose here over a few other horses. (2) OSCAR OSCAR has early speed and plenty of form.

Race 7

(4) MORTAL ZIN just missed to (10) I FOUGHT DALAW in a nice mile last week. That foe draws outside tonight; edge. (1) SHAKERATTLENROCK has some talent and qualified back nicely; Tetrick drives. I FOUGHT DALAW prevailed in a tough mile last week and might look to take it easy from post 10. (3) IDEAL CHAMP & (2) ALL STIENAM are trifecta and superfecta musts.

Race 8

(1) FROG JUICE came alive last week. I won’t be getting 66-1 this week but his latest effort is likely a sign of form reversal. (3) TRIPLE MAJOR qualified well and lures Tetrick off some others. (7) MIDNIGHT LAWYER loses Tetrick again. Gelding has always done well at this level.

Race 9

(3) COBALT MAN was involved in a brutal pace duel last week. He moves inside tonight and should get smoother sailing. (4) GRAMS LEGACY is a bit of a tease. Will he get over the top this week? (2) HEART OF ROCKNROLL is capable at a price. (10) THEBESTOFJOEL is a Burke dropper. Risk Management (race 3) dropped and popped for Burke last week.

Race 10

(1) WE WILL SEE has a start under his belt now and should be ready to roll. (4) BETTOR SWEET chased a sharp Golden Receiver last time. If he leaves, watch out! (5) MEIRS HANOVER should push away from the gate and get a board spot.

Race 11

(7) SHELLYSBLOCKBUSTER continues to drop down the condition ladder. If he is going to win here, this is likely the week. (2) FINN MAN took a shot and came up wanting in the lane last time. It is a positive sign that he showed some speed. (1) EVENING JOB gets post and class relief; maybe.

Race 12

(4) INTHEBLINKOFANEYE is back on my radar as my top choice. His effort last week was solid and there is this field came up light. (2) STORMIN RUSTLER should be forwardly placed and get a big piece. (1) BLADE RUNNER bumps up off a big mile.
