MEET STATS: 115 - 402 / $830.20

Best Bet: MICKEY HANOVER (10th)      Spot Play: KEEP GOING (7th)

Race 1

(1) HURRIKANE SCOTTY J certainly knows how to win at this level and now that Pierce has figured out that this guy seems to prefer racing at a target, it should be smooth sailing. (9) MIDNIGHT LAWYER swept the field last week, but he did get a nice pace to close into. Not sure there is enough speed signed on. (7) EQUINOX SEELSTER gets a big driver change but is another without much early zip.

Race 2

(1) BREAKIN THE LAW looks like the clear 2-5 chalk in here. I can’t see picking against him. (3) ASTOR seems to be improving. Perhaps by the final he will be up to tackling the top choice. (5) WINTER NIGHT closed strongly into a slow pace last week.

Race 3

(1) THEETOWNLITTLEGUY paced a quick third quarter at Chester before fading in his most recent. This looks like an even easier spot. (4) CULLENS BLUE JEAN appears to be finding his form. (2) WAIVER HANOVER was facing tougher at Yonkers; maybe.

Race 4

(3) A J CORBELLI beat up on lesser foes last week. The main key was the aggressive handling. If new pilot Simon Allard sends him again, I think he’ll handle the class jump. (8) ARTISTS VIEW has been racing pretty well and gets a small class break. Will Miller gun him to the top? (6) DINNERATARTSPLACE & (5) INTRIGUED ROYALLY would appear to have a shot with a smoother trip.

Race 5

(10) OH MY JOEPA takes the big step up from NW 2 to NW 3, but he seems sharp enough to handle the task. (3) JIN DANDY took the jump to NW 3 last week and won; free ride? (4) AJS POPOP has been stuck with some outside posts at Yonkers; price play. (5) FAT MANS ALLEY was solid last week; usable.

Race 6

(4) FASHION DELIGHT has a start under his belt now. Classy 4-year-old could be ready to show more. (3) WESTERN TRADEMARK draws better and should be closer to the action. (2) COBALT MAN was a pocket rocket last week. This spot is tougher but I’m still using him. (7) SOUTHERN SPORT comes off a confidence building win. (1) HICKORY HORACE had no shot last week; very capable.

Race 7

(2) KEEP GOING drops down to a winning level. Driver Kelley should get aggressive in this spot. (3) BLUE CLAW & (4) STORMIN RUSTLER should both be close to the action and either could step up.

Race 8

(6) WARNERS SPEEDY ART came up short last time after missing more than a month of action. It would be no shock to see more from this Ron Burke trainee. (1) LEGACY N DIAMONDS finished with an impressive rally off cover last week. (4) ALFREDSSON was too far out of the action in his most recent. (7) ROCKIN GLASS moves in a few posts and may be leaving.

Race 9

(4) MATTADOR D returns here to face lesser after dominating at Saratoga. (3) DA VISION OF ART couldn’t be much sharper. (7) BERRY BERRY FAST drops down and will be firing off the gate.

Race 10

(6) MICKEY HANOVER gets the bit of class relief he needs to bust out with a big winning mile. (8) PICTURE ME almost lasted in his recent race. He stays at the same level. (3) SONIC DANCER has some talent but can’t seem to get his act together.

Race 11

(1) REITED XX scored over at Chester and now tries the big track. With no killers signed on, he has a decent shot. (2) ATTACK MODES BILLY looks like the one to beat. (6) STONEBRIDGE BONUS doesn't look great on paper but is capable in this spot.

Race 12

(4) THUNDERS FURY couldn't sustain after making two moves last week. It won't get easier than this spot. (9) HONS LEAVIN FEEL raced pretty well here last year and has a race under his belt now. (1) POWER SURGE could push away from the cones.
