Race 3 - $30,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Race 7 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

MEET STATS: 111 - 409 / $639.00   BEST BETS: 15 - 33 / $46.80

Best Bet: OH MY JOEPA (3rd)

Race 1

(4) AT PRESS TIME didn't seem all that happy in the pocket last week but was certainly raging with pace in the stretch. (1A) BEST SAID looked better in his second career start despite finishing second. Unfortunately driver Scott Zeron opted off for (3) PIERCE, who closed well but continues to steer clear of the winner's circle.

Race 2

(2) PANESTHETIC seems to do some of his best work at the Meadowlands and finally gets a field he can control. (6) ROCKIN AMADEUS qualified back better this year than in 2013. He is fast and dangerous if ready. (5) SWEET TALKIN SATIN made a bid and weakened in his first start of the year; more now?

Race 3

(2) OH MY JOEPA had a tough trip last time and I'm certain he is sitting on a winning effort. New driver Corey Callahan will get the job done. (4) THE POKESTER was in against a good 3-year-old last time and couldn't keep up in a fast mile; chance tonight. (3) REMISSIONOFSINS has been a steady performer lately.

Race 4

In a field that hardly inspires confidence, (6) HURRICANE BREEZE has yet to do anything wrong this year and qualified well enough to think he can score. (4) JAMAICAN COWBOY had no shot in his first start since January. (10) ONE BAD NIGHT is a clear threat for a board spot but might have trouble from post 10.

Race 5

(7) MOONLITEONTHEBEACH sprinted home nicely in his 4-year-old debut. Talented Ed Hart trainee was making his first start since August and should be even tighter tonight. (6) WINDSONGS GORGEOUS steps up in fine form; early speed. (1) SKY MCFLY has come around since entering the Burke barn. (8) RUSTY SKIP gets trainer and driver changes; hmmm.

Race 6

(3) CAPTIVE AUDIENCE was a fast 3-year-old that has come to play in his third year of racing. Of course, anything could happen and he could lose, but he is probably worth the likely 4-5 mutuel. (2) KG DRAGONATOR closed nicely last time and could be coming around for trainer Remmen. (7) WAKE UP PETER has a big shot at winning, but unless I'm getting a very good price, I'll pass. He just lacks something in my book.

Race 7

(4) PRAIRE JAGUAR gets away from some killers in the Whata Baron series. I've been waiting for him to get aired out on the engine and I'm hoping those are Marohn's tactics tonight. (6) BLATANTLY BEST is perfectly spotted and only needs a clean trip to win. (7) VALENTINO is capable of stepping up with a big mile at any time.

Race 8

(3) YOU BET YOUR GLASS tried to bottom out the field and came up short. Perhaps a different trip will work against this group. (1) FREDDY DAY HANOVER drops back to the C-2 level; player. (2) PRINCE SHARKA has plenty of speed and finally gets away from post 10.

Race 9

(5) QUIK MAGIC had no real chance from post 10 last time. He draws better now and won't go down without a fight. (6) DREAMLANDS ART gets class relief for trainer Ron Burke. Only negative is the loss of driver Morill to my top choice. (2) IM BANSKY is sharp enough to win. Can he get over the hump?

Race 10

(7) ALEX BULLVILLE showed late life last week from a post 10 starting slot. He should be in prime position tonight. (3) BUCKEYE IN CHARGE has been racing okay versus better; class break. (2) PEMBROKE DEWEY has hit the board in three straight.

Race 11

(1) AMERICAN IN PARIS looks like the one to beat at an acceptable 3-5 mutuel. (2) PANERA HANOVER was flat last time but I still think she is better than that. (1A) ART IDEAL already has two seconds in this series. (3) JK LETITGO has shown she can go fast but I need to see more.

Race 12

(4) STALLONE BLUE CHIP perked up nicely at the C-2 level and now steps up a notch. He seems capable of scoring. (1) VERDAD & (1A) CAM B ZIPPER form a tough entry. Either could take this with a reasonable trip. (3) I WANNA GO FAST arrives sharp and has proven himself here in the past.

Race 13

This is a formless group of bottom level pacers. You would be just as well off picking your favorite numbers as trying to handicap this bunch. For the record: (6) VISA VIPER, (1) WAYWATCHER and (3) AIRBURST HANOVER are my top three.
