MEET STATS: 108 - 377 / $797.60

Best Bet: A J CORBELLI (9th)     Spot Play: OH MY JOEPA (2nd)

Race 1

(3) ARC DE TRIUMPH posted a strong qualifying mile and now gets Tetrick, who chose off a Jimmy Takter trainee who won easily last time. (1) ONE THROUGH TEN is the one Tetrick opted off; still looks good. (8) BREAKIN THE LAW has done little wrong; outside post. (2) E STREET PLAN certainly has a shot if the trip goes his way.

Race 2

(2) OH MY JOEPA trounced similar last week; free ride. (1) CAVIART SHILOH qualified well. If he can step forward, he has a shot. (5) BLUES AT MIDNIGHT spent some time on the rim last week; better trip now?

Race 3

(2) MR HALLOWELL finally makes two consecutive starts without a month off in between. That could be a sign that he is feeling better, and this field is pretty bad. (1) CULLENS BLUE JEAN moves inside; that will help. (7) THREE TEN has to get a better trip than last week, right?

Race 4

(4) SAVANNAH SPLENDOR had an interesting trip at Saratoga. He broke trying to leave on a track with some moisture, regained his composure quickly and uncorked a push-button turn of speed before the half to make the top. He was tiring a bit late, but that was some trip. (7) ASTOR caught a tough foe in his 2012 debut. I’d expect more tonight. (3) WINTER NIGHT ships in with a nice record. (2) ROCKNDREAM has been consistent.

Race 5

(4) BLUE CLAW disappointed last week but I like this spot better for him. Let’s look for some speed and no worse than a pocket trip. (1) JIMMIE HANOVER burned plenty of dough last time; still, a player. (6) GD AIRLINER is better than his lines look. That said, I’m on the fence about whether I can play him.

Race 6

(8) HES GORGEOUS posted a nice speed try last week in only his second start in a long time. This should be the week we see a huge mile. (6) SOUTHERN SPORT has been facing some tough competition; chance. (2) FOUR STARZ TRACE drops a couple of classes but doesn’t catch the easiest group. (9) GRAMS LEGACY had no shot last time and now draws post nine; tough call.

Race 7

(8) ADAMS HANOVER blitzed lesser by open lengths in his most recent effort and should have no problem bumping up one level. (6) LEGACY N DIAMONDS also moves up a notch after two decent tries from off the pace. If the action is hot and heavy he could be flying. (3) ALFREDSSON has won three of four.

Race 8

(6) COBALT MAN seems ready to win. New barn should be able to get the most out of him. (9) PICTURE ME is a tricky horse to catch. He drops tonight and seems to be in a live spot. (3) INTRIGUED ROYALLY gets some needed class relief; must use.

Race 9

(5) A J CORBELLI was in no man’s land last week and closed in well. He drops again tonight and should dominate. There is no way he should lose this race. (3) NOBLE FALCON might not be super sharp right now, but he still should get a piece. (1) BUCKEYE IN CHARGE drops and draws the rail.

Race 10

(3) DROP RED surprised last week when he ran down (1) FRED AND GINGER. This is a quality horse and he can do it again. The latter looked home free for a while before tiring late; clearly a danger. (4) HEART OF ROCKNROLL steps up in fine form.

Race 11

(5) LAGUNA BEACH is the king of the $15k claimers right now; again. (7) COLONEL MOFFITT had no shot last week. He does drop tonight and might be handled more aggressively. (6) DA VISION OF ART responded nicely to the recent class drop.

Race 12

(4) FAT MANS ALLEY finds the easiest spot he has seen in a long while. (2) MOJO HALL looks like a live import for a hot driver. (1) VARSITY HANOVER is another newcomer on quite a roll.

Race 13

(4) KISS MY CAM took care of business at this level last week. (6) THUNDER’S FURY takes a huge class drop. (9) MIDNIGHT LAWYER seems to be racing well lately. (8) AMASA AL is another dropper; last effort was okay.
