Race 1

(1) WARRAWEE NEEDY should be much tighter this week after last week's speed display. Four-year-old can regain winning form. (5) BAKIN ON THE BEACH has shown renewed life since entering this series. McArdle-sired gelding can break-up the cold number. (6) ESCAPE THE NEWS had to go the mile of his life to beat the choice in last week's prelim; this spot puts him in a much different position.

Race 2

(5) MODERN FAMILY was a solid second last week with no chance to catch a runaway winner. Improving four-year-old will need to work out a pocket trip or better but has the talent to upset. (4) QUICK DEAL has emerged this year for Burke with some impressive miles. Five-year-old does seem a bit shaky at the start and that can make any chalk player a bit unsteady. (3) DWS NY YANK may elect to take a less aggressive stance this week.

Race 3

(1) MONTREAL PHIL faces a much lighter division of this class than he did a week ago. Veteran flashed :26 second closing speed in that mile and seems best on a repeat of that effort. (7) LIVE ON has come back sharp for Fanning and has the tactical speed to contest. (3) ARSENAL is in top hands.

Race 4

(1) LONG LIVE ROCK gets a much-needed drop in class. Four-year-old was very hard-used last week and didn't fade badly. (5) DUTCH RICHMAN gets a significant driver change and must be respected. (6) D J LANCE should benefit from the drop and the addition of Gingras in the sulky.

Race 5

(2) OLDE TIME HOCKEY took the conservative route in his first start of the year and finished with wild abandon. Art Major-sired colt moves inside and should be full speed ahead. (1) WHATS THE STORY returns to an inside spot and a more aggressive drive is expected. (7) DHARMA INITIATIVE has looked sharper in his last couple of starts.

Race 6

(7) FOREVER JUST was a top horse on the NYSS circuit over the last two years. Four-year-old came up a little short in his debut but gets a quick drop. (8) ON THE RADAR has a sharp closing kick and that may be enough in a field lacking in controlling speed. (6) GRAMS LEGACY has a big motor on the big track but always seems to find something to go wrong in the late stretch.

Race 7

(6) A J CORBELLI took advantage of some easy spots at Yonkers with consecutive wire-to-wire victories. Veteran returns to the big track and can overtake this compact field. (4) RIVER SHARK has never liked the uncovered route. Millionaire gets Tetrick and is dangerous with the right trip. (7) VERSADO was locked in and flashed plenty of speed late once clear.

Race 8

(4) YANKEE DEVIL finds a nice spot for his Meadowlands return. Veteran has the speed to carve out a trip. (3) CASIMIR CAMOTION moves inside and that means a lot at his age. (1) TUG RIVER CLAUDE was our choice at this level before last week's scratch took him out of the race; can't overlook.

Race 9

(7) POWER OF THE MOMENT was driven last week like a horse that needed another start. Six-year-old was competing at a high level last year and should benefit from the tighteners. (1) PEMBROKE DEWEY gets favorable treatment from the racing secretary and also gets lucky to land the pole. (4) OUREA OURRIR was in with a much tougher group last week and didn't fade badly after a rugged grind.

Race 10

(8) AREZZO HANOVER has gone two straight weeks without a break and may finally be over that problem. Nine-year-old has enough speed to neutralize the outside draw. (9) MARTIAL BLISS has to get some sort of figure just on the knowledge that he ships in for Burke. (2) DIGITAL Z TAM was nine times third last year in 36 starts.

Race 11

(3) MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS was too far back off soft fractions to contend last week. Ontario-bred draws a good spot here and may look to brush down the backstretch. (1) MORGAN SHARK has maintained his form nicely for Burke this winter and finds another good spot. (5) STATESMAN N finished on the board in 20 of his 29 starts down under and that suggests a good deal of class.

Race 12

(3) DON'T YA KNOW flashed high speed finishing in a much-needed start. Holloway-trained colt has high class potential. (9) I DO HANOVER may need to show some early speed to get into the action here. Last week he was super gaining the top. (1) HUMILITY is placed for part.

Race 13

(3) ANDY BARAN may have been a bit too aggressive last week from the rail. Six-year-old has raced very well this year without benefit of a win and now drops to the basement. (8) CYCLONE ARTIST showed some speed against a solid ground of younger horses in last; retains Gingras. (9) KISS MY ART went a huge trip in last but again finds himself on the outside looking in.
