Race 1

(3) NEXT FLIGHT was stuck outside in his last two starts here at this level. His form is questionable, but that is a common issue with most of his competitors. (2) CLUBBER LANG scored his last win at this level. (5) TOUGH LOVE drops to the basement condition and figures to perk up at least a little bit.

Race 2

(7) WINDSONGS GORGEOUS is perfect on the year and looks to be a bit faster than this group right now. (2) STORMIN RUSTLER has been racing pretty well and should be close to the action. (1) DAMON BLUE CHIP has won his last two starts for this claiming tag.

Race 3

(6) MCRUSTY comes off a toss-out effort from the outside at Yonkers. His prior form at the Meadowlands was fine. (7) MAJOR WAY won easily in his last try for a $15k price tag. Tetrick opts off for (2) VICTORYDAZE WILWIN, who is dropping in class as well, but that could be a barn loyalty selection.

Race 4

(3) ANDWIN HANOVER turned the corner with a good effort in his first start for trainer Michael Russo. Tim Tetrick jumping in the bike is a nice plus. (4) PARADISE WILLIE seems to be in cheap this week and new driver Yannick Gingras could have him fired up from the start. (1) CALL ME BUD has some form and Callahan is now at the helm instead of trainer Athony Armour.

Race 5

(3) IMA GIGGITY FOOL finds a field that lacks early speed and could take charge. (5) UF ROCKIN DRAGON has been moving in the right direction and trainer Mark Ford seems to have this 4-year-old figured out. (4) JLDONTWASTEMYTIME is probably better than his PP lines look.  (2) HUMILITY is fast enough to win.

Race 6

Tetrick picking (7) DOVUTO HANOVER over the PJ Fraley trained #6 says all you need to know. Dovuto Hanover wasn’t comfortable on the smaller track at Yonkers and should pick up his game at the Meadowlands. (8) HYPNOTIC BLUE CHIP is a clear threat with any reasonable trip. (4) EMERITUS MAXIMUS has ability, but I want to see a start in the new barn.

Race 7

(3) THUNDER SEELSTER was used in the first half and gave way last time. His prior effort was a nice fourth, closing from last. This looks like the perfect spot. (5) DON’T FOOL WITH ME closed well at Yonkers and might be ready to turn the corner. (8) DANIEL SEMALU looks ready on paper but needs a trip. (4) FITZS Z TAM hails from the Gingras/Burke connections.

Race 8

(5) MORGAN SHARK comes off a win at Yonkers and seems like a good fit at the B-2 level. (4) UP UP AND OUT lost to a much better foe last time. He looks like a player given a decent trip. (3) ARSENAL moves into a new barn and qualified well enough.

Race 9

(4) SHOOBEES PLACE had no shot from post seven in his first start for this barn. Classy veteran seems to be in a cozy spot. (6) PANESTHETIC only needs a smooth trip to be a big danger. (8) ABBEYLARA returns to the Meadowlands at a reduced level. (7) STALLONE BLUE CHIP has been good for a board spot in most of his recent starts.

Race 10

(2) LOCKLOADNEXPLODE drops out of claiming action to face a dull group. I’ll give this 7-year-old the weak call. (8) PRINCE SHARKA was racing at the C-1 level when last seen here and now faces C-2 types. (3) FOUR STARZ TRACE has a recent second against similar two starts back.

Race 11

(1) BETTORS GLASS has some excuses for his recent failures and seems to be in a winning spot this week. (3) DIAL OF NODIAL has loads of class but lacks confidence of late. (2) COBALT MAN should chase while close to the pace and get a nice piece.

Race 12

(1) MINDSET moves into the Burke barn. Some horses improve by leaps and bounds with the help of Burke. (7) MUSCLE BEACHBOY has plenty of early speed and decent success at this level. (5) BERKSHIRE BEAR faced a monster last time.

Race 13

(5) CAPITAL ACCOUNT overcame post 10 last time and remains at the same level. He should be tough to beat. (6) GHOST HOUSE looks to be a clear second best on paper. (10) SER JOHN has a bit of ability but drew poorly.
