Best Bet: MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS (7th)        Spot Play: MEGA LIGHTNING (9th)

Race 1

(2) ERES TU broke his maiden in his very first attempt at Yonkers and now comes over to try the big track. New York-bred is facing a group that's still trying to find itself. (1) PLEASE ME TWO can be excused for his last two races, prior form is encouraging. (6) ARC DE TRIUMPH has shown glimpses of talent and can trip out.

Race 2

(5) GOLDEN RECEIVER has gone four weeks without a race simply because there wasn't one created to fit his class. Now he somehow draws inside his main foes and should have little trouble controlling things. (2) MR HASANI looked explosive finishing between horses in his first half-mile track starts in this hemisphere. Quick-footed import should be in a good spot. (1) TRANSCENDING steps up sharp.

Race 3

(1) SEQUIN HANOVER was a casualty of leaving from the second tier as Gingras put him in the middle of the track leaving and then could not avoid a breaker. Speedy mare gets a first-tier draw and should reassert her dominance. (7) VOLARE DE VIE has progressed nicely this winter showing good early speed and a solid kick. (2) NO LESS THAN MAGIC is a good one-run type.

Race 4

(4) FORENSIC Z TAM was quite impressive defeating weaker here in January and then left town and suddenly lost his form. Lachance-trained and driven veteran should be capable of leaving with these. (3) BUBBIE BOY has been in with better and raced consistently well. (1) CYCLONE ARTIST shows a good finishing kick but is in danger of getting lost from the pole in this added distance event.

Race 5

(4) ODIN BLUE CHIP has had to deal with some bad spots recently. Recent Allard claim moves inside in a somewhat formless group and may look to the front. (5) AREZZO HANOVER shipped in from Florida recently and made a costly break. Veteran qualified back sharply and is dangerous. (2) LAWGIVER HANOVER put in a poor performance in his first at this level; gets post relief.

Race 6

(4) HOLDINGALLTHECARDS has miraculously won the first two legs of this series despite very conservative steers. Cams Card Shark-sired gelding personifies the Cam Fella line with his unending drive to the wire. (6) HANG TEN shouldn't be penalized for winning the way he did last week. Four-year-old may be improving and deserves to be followed. (2) YO CHEYENNE ROCKY draws the pole in a field that includes significant speed.

Race 7

(1) MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS has been impressive since donning aluminum shoes. Allard-trained stallion has plenty of early speed and can benefit from this spot. (4) LETTUCEROCKU A ships in from Yonkers in stellar form. Import was cruising against similar competition last week. (2) PERRITO CALIENTE has taken advantage of weaker since shipping in; remains in top hands.

Race 8

(3) BOLERO ANDREW came up short in his first start in three weeks. Prior to that were some big miles. Five-year-old picks up Gingras and should be well-spotted.  (1) ARMBRO BILLOW should make good use of the pole in this field lacking in early speed. (6) IDEAL MATTERS has been somewhat disappointing in his four starts and again figures to take plenty of tote action.

Race 9

(1) MEGA LIGHTNING got knocked down from 32-1 to 14-1 in the last flash then flew in the deep stretch to get the payoff. Veteran that once posted a 1:48 2/5 mile appears to have made the comeback and may not be deterred by this level. (4) JOHNNY Z showed pace at both ends in last suggesting he's rounding into form. (7) PAINTED BLACK can pick up the pieces.

Race 10

(11) SKY TANTRUM was very hard-used in the Winter Survivor series and paid the price. Veteran has had the week off and can bounce back with alert Tetrick handling. (3) PICTURE ME drops a notch and returns to Callahan in the bike. (9) GIDDY UP DELIGHT drops after a series of no-chance miles and has the class to come alive.

Race 11

(1) OIL MAGNET gets the Gingras vote of confidence and why not? Nine-year-old has been push button since arriving and now gets the position edge over his main rivals. (1A) KILLER QUAKES helps form an imposing Burke-trained entry. (2) VEAL MARSALA had to work exceptionally hard to gain control last week and did well once attacked in the stretch. Classy oldtimer could get the benefit of a contested pace.

Race 12

(5) CODE WORD gets the much needed drop in class. Recent Flynn-stable acquisition hasn't been embarrassed against tougher and may find the speed he needs for the upset here. (2) SILVER EAGLE showed some renewed kick upon moving to the level and seems the one to beat. (1) TREND SPOTTER has Burke and Gingras a lethal Saturday night combination going for him.

Race 13

(8) ROJETTES BEST is a former top class competitor on the comeback trail. Six-year-old was in against some serious horses in his last qualifier and may prove to like this class. (5) WILLIE BOOTS was hard-used before faltering the very competitive Survivor series. (1) WIT AND WISDOM finds a close up spot and can contend.
