Race 7 - $75,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

MEET STATS: 19 - 77 / $86.60     BEST BETS: 3 - 6 / $13.80

Best Bet: OSCAR OSCAR (8th)

Spot Play: YO CHEYENNE ROCKY (11th)

Race 1

(3) STALLONE BLUE CHIP showed plenty of speed but came up a drop short against two solid foes; draws well again and should get over the hump. (8) ARC DE TRIUMPH gets Tetrick after an interesting effort but lands outside and is likely to be an underlay. (4) SEEK THE DRAGON moves inside and adds Gingras.

Race 2

(7) PAN GRAD moves into the fiery hot Weaver-Brainard stable following a claim and should be ready to fire. (8) GENERAL MONTGOMERY may have to explore the front at some point in time. (5) BUCKEYE IN CHARGE is placed for part.

Race 3

(6) LINDWOOD PLAYER went a vicious final eighth in sweeping this type last week. Four-year-old has the ability and confidence to continue. (4) MR DENNIS looked like a mere mortal last week after his explosive victory two back. Well-bred gelding can't be overlooked. (1) PAPA RAY may be the best of Burke's crew in this series.

Race 4

(3) SONIC DANCER deserves one more chance after dropping to this class. Veteran may respond off a cover trip. (4) ALEX BULLVILLE had no serious chance from the outside in his last two and must be considered a solid threat here. (5) MEGA LIGHTNING is dangerous coming off the shelf.

Race 5

(1) DR CS Z TAM actually raced creditably against a higher class earlier this meet. Veteran returns from Yonkers and may be more aggressively handled. (6) MORGAN SHARK just couldn't find his traction sitting on the outside with no cover advance and then being forced to go it alone. Burke-trained gelding should be leaving with more purpose. (2) SOUTHERN SPORT gets Carlson's vote of confidence.

Race 6

(2) IDEAL MATTERS is likely to be overbet once again but this past classmaster shook some of the rust off cutting the mile in last and may be primed. (3) ARMBRO BILLOW has been quite effective from the inside. (5) PEMBROKE DEWEY steps up off a pocket-rocket score.

Race 7

(6) TRANSCENDING was solid finishing in his season's debut. Veteran faces slightly cheaper off that effort and figures to be pointed towards the front. (7) VOICE OF TRUTH was just in way too deep last time; can revert to prior form. (3) MCCLELLAND retains Callahan after an encouraging closing effort.

Race 8

(2) OSCAR OSCAR paid the price for leaving last week and was just third best to a pair of classy horses. Seven-year-old returns to the inside and should get the win he's been searching for. (1) IDEAL CHAMP came up short in his first spin on the big track this year but remains a solid threat at this level. (3) ON THE RADAR made a well timed move to victory in last.

Race 9

(10) LAWGIVER HANOVER should appreciate the drop in class finally after being elevated sans victory. Four-year-old should be able to find early position here. (5) CASIMIR CAMOTION has been solid in all four races this season and remains a strong factor. (3) SCOTTY MACH N gets a post break.

Race 10

(4) GAMBLERS TALE should be able to work out good position for Gingras and deserves the slim edge. (11) TROUBLE HANOVER picks up Tetrick after an adventurous effort and will need all of his skills to avoid getting blocked behind the rail horse leaving. (8) BRANDONS COLT drops and may perk up.

Race 11

(4) YO CHEYENNE ROCKY looked every bit the professional racehorse toying with a group despite facing pressure throughout last week. Four-year-old has turned the corner and seems up to the challenge. (3) HOLDINGALLTHECARDS had to rough it and showed extreme courage last week; moves inside and of course is the one to beat. (2) KINGS LEGEND should be spotted with the leaders.

Race 12

(7) LITTLE GOLD RING is worth sticking with for a second week. Six-year-old didn't get much help last week and paid the price. (4) ART OF ILLUSION was stuck in a dull flow last week and is worth following. (1) FIVENUCKLESHUFFLE draws the pole for the third straight week.

Race 13

(4) I DO HANOVER came from way back to run down the leader in last; steps up slightly but remains in raging form. (2) ASTOR has been working himself into shape and gets an improved draw. (1) CAMART HANOVER steps up sharp.
