Race 1

(5) WESTERN TSUNAMI came up short racing on just four days rest in his first trip for Capone. Veteran has done well at this track and now drops a notch in search of a win. (2) BOILER BOB THE QB can be excused some for not getting the job done as the odds-on choice going overland in a quick final quarter. Burke-trained gelding remains the one to beat. (10) MC RUSTY has been in with better and could add value with the outside draw.

Race 2

(2) GRANDPA DON makes his career debut off a fine qualifier. Son of Rocknroll Hanover is worth a shot on pedigree in this very soft bunch. (4) LITTLEBITACLASS makes his debut for the Burke stable with a string of successes north of the border. Hard not to like his lines on paper but has clearly never raced at this level before and may be a big underlay. (8) JUST GOT PAID has raced well in both starts for Toscano and has the age advantage over the top two choices but draws outside.

Race 3

(1) COLE HEAT made two very sharp moves in his local debut and didn't fade badly. Five-year-old seems quite sharp right now and lands the pole. (4) NATHAN FEELSGOOD ships in from Yonkers racing similar stock with some success. Five-year-old has obvious talent and may be in a prime striking position. (5) COBALT MAN is on the comeback trail for Capone and shouldn't be overlooked with the move inside.

Race 4

(6) SIR MICHIGAN Z TAM looked at the outset of this season to be a sophomore with some serious stakes potential. This gelding has clearly not lived up to that lofty goal but appears to be working his way back into form for Patrick Lachance. He's gone some good miles since returning and should appreciate the return to the big track. (3) JLDONTWASTEMYTIME has shown speed since arriving in the Burke stable but must step up his game here. (2) APPLE A DAY gets a much needed inside draw.

Race 5

(4) ROCKNROLL SPECIAL can be excused shipping north from Pompano for his defeat last time at Yonkers. Buter-trained gelding finds a softer spot and figures to be forwardly placed. (2) DAMON BLUE CHIP returns to claimers at a reduced level for Burke and remains in top hands. (3) MARINER SEELSTER was in need of a start after missing nearly a month; can pick up the remains.

Race 6

(1) DOVUTO HANOVER recovered from an early miscue and rolled home with high energy against this type last week. Sophomore is still learning the ropes but has an enormous amount of talent. (8) SWEET TALKING SATIN went a huge trip in his first Burke outing and rates plenty of attention even with the outside handicap. (9) EDDIE SWEAT has missed three weeks since his last start, an impressive score at this level.

Race 7

(5) ERLE DALE N seemed to get a little lonely once clearing the lead last week and needed some reminders to hold on. Import is razor-sharp right now and can repeat with a cover trip. (4) ALEX MATTOSIE may have had some of the sting taken out by the :26 1/5 opening quarter racing wide last week. Former FFA star still has some big miles left. (7) HYPNOTIC BLUE CHIP has been slowly rounding into form for McDermott. Classy old veteran moves up a little here but can take all.

Race 8

(4) GALLANT SEELSTER held his ground evenly despite racing against older foes in a big last half in his debut for trainer Lewis. Sophomore showed class potential in Ontario and may find this group to his liking. (8) K LEES SHAKENBAKE went a huge last quarter rolling past a weaker group in his local debut. Iowa-bred has been 15 times first or second in 17 trips lifetime. (5) MINDSET faces tougher after a sharp score.

Race 9

(2) ROAD UNTRAVELED appears to have come into his own over the last month and should continue his winning ways. (5) DREAMLANDS ART has somehow gone winless this year in 30 starts but must be considered dangerous at this level. (3) FOREST VIC A makes the last start of his racing career and will be trying to go out on top.

Race 10

(5) DELCO ROCKNROLL had no chance closing into a :55 and change final half at Yonkers in his last start. Four-year-old hails from a top stable and is more than capable of handling this type. (4) A SWEET RIDE was racing against tougher with some success and should appreciate the switch to claiming company. (8) UP UP AND OUT showed extreme ability as a two-year-old but has not been able to find that form this year. Recent Surick acquisition was overmatched in last.

Race 11

(1) MACHS BEACH BOY has been quietly making his way up the class ladder in typical Lachance fashion. Four-year-old takes a winning record to the big track and may surprise by carving out a pocket trip. (6) ABELARD HANOVER has prepped nicely for his local return. When on his game this five-year-old is very difficult to track down. (7) BETTORS EDGE makes his third start for the Burke stable and has to be respected.

Race 12

(10) TARPON HANOVER has two ninth place finishes to his credit since joining forces with trainer Nick Surick. His fortunes should start turning around now that he's been given class relief. (6) LAKE NIGHT JOKE has shown speed for Fraley but needs to mind his manners. (2) TALKING BLUES was a solid second at this level; moves inside and bears watching.

Race 13

(7) AVENUE HANOVER has proven to have much higher class potential when on his game. Five-year-old gets the class drop he was searching for and is value here. (3) MAJOR TIPPER didn't have enough to survive two moves in his local return; moves inside and can take all. (6) SIR ZIGGYS Z TAM had a bit too much taken out gaining the lead last time and didn't give in until late.
