Race 1

(2) IDEAL FEELING made a break in his lone Meadowlands attempt, but I’m more inclined to take a horse like this with two career starts which can improve rather than the others signed on in here. (1) JOE’S LIFE has a couple of even races in this class recently and this field looks easier. (8) SNEAK ON BYE actually beat #1 at Philly last week but the outside post hurts.

Race 2

(6) JK WILL POWER raced well despite a tough trip at Hoosier last time. This barn tends to bring them in ready and this guy is clearly down in class. (5) DOWNTHEHIGHWY gets a bit of a class break but shows nine seconds versus just two wins this year. (1) DUNE DUDE & (7) OH JONNY B GOOD N are two Yonkers shippers which could be competitive given a smooth trip.

Race 3

(1A) LAWRENCETOWN BEACH comes off a nice speed-tightening mile and seems to be moving in the right direction now. I’m expecting a big effort. (5) TRAVEL PLAYLIST hasn’t raced well since early October at the Red Mile. Hmmm, now he is back on a big track. This guy is plenty fast enough to win and the price should be right. (1) SOMETHINGINTHEWIND is one of 15 purchased by Burke/Weaver Bruscemi from these connections. Does he move up in the new barn? (2) ABERDEEN HANOVER is fast enough given the right trip; upset chance.

Race 4

(8) ACES AND EIGHTS blew out an impressive 1:56 mile at Saratoga last time with trainer Dan Daley driving and now finds himself in a new barn with a catch-driver. His 1:55 4/5 qualifying win at Vernon shows he belongs in the win conversation. (4) PAINITE has been keeping decent company out of town and ships in with deceptively good form. There are worse longshots you could wager on. (5) MASSIVE LIGHTNING has been racing well and only needs a smooth trip to contend. (6) TYMAL REIGN shows some breaks on smaller tracks but won here two starts back.

Race 5

(6) STYLISH BEACHWHERE comes off a deceptive line on paper, where she was actually on the lead early, charted out at the half because a horse went inside the passing lane, and finished up willingly when clear late. Four-year-old has seen big track success at Mohawk and finds a good spot. (9) WHISKERSONKITTENS rallied well from last in a higher class last week and certainly deserves a look in here. (1) MACHING ME ZILLY has been in form for some time, but does move from facing her peers to tackling some more seasoned rivals. (2) BEAUTIFUL LADY has early speed and decent form.

Race 6

(8) GURAL HANOVER owns three wins and two seconds in five overnight races over this surface. He should prove difficult to beat on Saturday. (5) ZOOMING has dealt with difficult outside posts at Pocono lately. (7) FAD FINANCE took his career mark when last seen here. (6) BUFF lacks class but might be sharp enough to compete.

Race 7

(3) SOME ATTITUDE has won four of five starts including in this class two back. Trainer Jackie Greene has started off the meet with a 7-3-2-0 record and there is no reason this guy can’t repeat. (1) ALWAYS AT MY PLACE has tons of class but lacks recent form. Perhaps the switch from facing Bit Of A Legend N, Mach It So and others will be all he needs to wake up. (2) ANDREIOS KARDIA sneaks under the AE condition here and does own a sub 1:50 mark each of the last two years.

Race 8

(6) TRUTH AND LIBERTY has been sweeping the field from last to win against Open Handicap foes at Saratoga. Five-year-old is just so sharp now that I can’t look past her. (1) BETTORHAVEANOTHER has early speed, a good post, and top connections in her corner; must use. (5) OK HEAVENLY & (4) COUSIN MARY ships in from Pocono in less than perfect form, but either is fast enough if feeling good.

Race 9

This is an interesting race that could go in many directions. (2) STEALTH HANOVER is a horse with ability that hasn’t quite set the world afire thus far. Trainer Del Cid calls on Allard to drive this week and he did steer this guy to a career best 1:52 mile at Philly on 9/17. (3) DNIEPER jumped it off in his first try for new connections. I’m inclined to give him another shot. (8) NEW JERSEY VIKING is similar to the top pick in that he has talent but hasn’t lived up to expectations; catch-driver this week. (4) CAN DO has early speed and should work out a favorable trip.

Race 10

(4) IAMMRBRIGHTSIDE N drops down for a barn that is having another good meet. His stablemate crushed the field in his last start. (6) SISKEL has early speed in a field that seems to lack that quality. (2) ROCK ON THE HILL is sharp now and could be dangerous if allowed to save ground and shake free. (9) MISTER TRUTH drops down and gets Gingras, but post nine could be an issue.

Race 11

(10) LONE WOLF TERROR was able to sweep the field at Hoosier but also took air and raced very well on the rim. Three-year-old moves into a decent barn and could be interesting at a fair price. (2) BANK SEA hasn’t seen an inside post since mid September and really isn’t in bad form right now. He looks like a legitimate longshot option to win. (4) PEPPER GUY has won three straight and figures to be the favorite, but does he really look unbeatable?

Race 12

(1) MORE DRAGON comes off two solid efforts from outside posts and drops again tonight. While this isn’t a soft field, he should prove tough. (6) CALVIN B was in a bad spot last time but didn’t fire home strongly regardless. He gets more class relief now and remains dangerous. (3) ELRAMA N should be tighter in his third start back from a long break; dangerous early speed. (7) ULTIMATE BEACHBOY was second in this class a week ago but faces tougher here.
