THURSDAY, JUNE 28 TO DREAM ON (SIMPSON) – Could not have looked much more impressive. POSSESS THE WILL won a second straight qualifier on his road to the Hambo, looked good and is ready for a start. MEGA LIGHTNING (QUA4) - Moved to the front past the half; opened up quickly and was sharp in the lane under his own power. PEACEFUL EZ FEELIN (QUA6) - Looked sharp again. Filly switched to Tetrick and should do damage in her debut. NIKKI BEACH (QUA9) - Was used twice before yielding; and came for more in the lane; very impressive. SIR RICHARD Z TAM (QUA12) - May need to work on gate skills but showed an impressive explosion of speed in the lane and should be a nice one. FRIDAY, JUNE 29 DUEL IN THE SUN (SIMPSON) – Brushed to the front, yielded and came back on in the stretch impressively. Nice effort from a 2-year-old. CANT HAVE MY MONI (NW3) – Was better than she looked. Callahan had to grab a big hold of her to wait for room and she didn’t have enough stretch left to find her best. DOUBLE UP HANOVER (PAUL DOHERTY) – Finished up full of trot while never touched with the whip. Lachance seems to have the right set of hands for this erratic 4-year-old. SATURDAY, JUNE 30 HYPNOTIC BLUE CHIP (NW22500) – Made three moves during the mile en route to victory. It appears he is ready to heat up. GOLDEN RECEIVER (INVITATIONAL) – Veteran battled on the engine and pulled away while never feeling the whip. SOUTHWESTERN DREAM (NW11000) – Showed some life this week and paced home strong into a fast final quarter. If he gets some class relief, watch out! HAUL N FANNY (QUA2) - Was able to get away with very cheap fractions but showed good acceleration in the lane. I LUV THE NITELIFE (QUA5) - Grabbed cover through honest fractions and closed very well coming home in :27 3/5.   Horses that were previously listed but have yet to race SATURDAY, JUNE 23 RED STAR TOMAHAWK (NW4000) - Was behind a tired foe, angled and finished willingly from far back. STORMIN RUSTLER (KING OF 15'S) - Went a big uncovered mile and drew clear. FRIDAY, JUNE 22 DROP THE BALL (GREEN WITH ENVY) – Won as she pleased and looks like the clear one to beat in this series.   (Horses from qualifiers courtesy P.J. Iovino)
