Race 1

(9) EXQUISITE GLIDE saved ground and pounced in his debut for trainer Tony Alagna. The outside post presents some issues but there are no standouts signed on. (3) SOUTHWIND POSEIDON was in too tough last time and reunites with Campbell tonight. (4) ROYAL ICE picks up Gingras. Don’t be surprised if he wakes this colt up.

Race 2

(1B) GIFTED WAY broke last week but his debut effort was fine. Cantab Hall colt is part of a nice four-horse entry that all could be competitive. (1C) UNCLE LASSE gets a driver switch to Ron Pierce this week and could be firing off the gate. (2) CENTURION ATM should be leaving hard from the inside draw and has a pair of second to start his career. (1A) THE BANK is another in the field who likes to flash early speed. (3) BROKEN RECORD faces stiffer competition this week; maybe.

Race 3

(7) KATE CAN’T WAIT raced well in her first start for the Croghan barn and can build off that effort. (6) MY LADY DAY gets some serious post relief but is just 2 for 19 lifetime. (5) KATIE SAID qualified well enough. She likes to make breaks but has some ability. (2) WINE N MCROSES & (4) EASTER SURPRIZE seems like reasonable exotic players.

Race 4

(4) LOCK DOWN LINDY charged home for the victory last time. She faces a tougher group this week but is plenty talented. (5) GATKA HANOVER is perfect in three career starts; very dangerous. (1A) SMEXI has raced well in each of his first three races; threat.

Race 5

(5) LORRIE PLEASE has been off her game for a while but remains in the basement condition and finds a field without any early speed. (4) SYNERGY SEELSTER & (6) MOJARRA HANOVER are both dropping back down to the level of their last scores. (3) HARMONY OAKS QUIKE could be an interesting play with Brian Sears in the bike.

Race 6

(3) MAVEN raced hard early in the mile and still trotted home in 26 4/5 while getting out-finished by fresher foes. This is her race to lose. (4) NOT AFRAID should be on the lead in a hurry and is a clear player. (6) MONEY ON MY MIND is another with early speed. He is sharp enough to get a piece. (7) CORAGGIOSO rarely throws in a clunker; chance.

Race 7

(8) SCANDALOUS HANOVER drops again this week and really should be able to handle this group. (5) CLEAR VIEW HANOVER is very sharp now; must use. (3) ROCKINGCAM PARK picked up some confidence last week and now tackles older foes. (6) GETTINGREADYTOROLL has a chance if she can mind her manners.

Race 8

(4) TAKE MY PICTURE could be considered a reach by some, but he kept up nicely in that last qualifier versus some good foes and this certainly represents a huge class break. We know he is fast enough . . .can he behave? (2) FIRSTCLASSPRINCESS has been racing well and picks up a hot driver in Campbell. (9) OUTBURST steps up off two straight wins. Hambletonian eligible gelding needs to show a big mile to be considered for the big dance next weekend.

Race 9

(5) DONCANGO qualified very well for Ake Svanstedt, and we’ve seen him score right out of the gate a few times this year. This field came up pretty light and this son of Donato Hanover figures to put I a big mile. (10) SPEAK THE TRUTH hasn’t shown much this year but gets in against weaker this time. (1) LIGHTNING FORCE is an obvious threat but not exactly reliable.

Race 10

(4) CATHY’S PRINCESS charged home last week for the score, her second straight big effort. With a perfect starting spot to work out a trip, I’ll give her the narrow nod. (1) JERSEY BOY & (1A) PITTSTOP RUTHIE form a capable duo. Either one could win with a decent trip. (2) B L CLASS ACT goes for three straight.

Race 11

(5) MISSION BRIEF has been blowing away her competition. If she minds her manners, she’ll likely be taking another picture. (1B) LIVININTHEFASTLANE righted the ship with a nice PASS score in her last start. (2) ONDA DI MARE has shown some ability. (7) CRAZY BEAUTIFUL looks interesting on paper but drew poorly.

Race 12

(2) BEE A MAGICIAN faces her peers this week and should be able to take care of business. (1) MA CHERE HALL split foes with plenty of trot last time. (3) HANDOVER BELLE has been sharp over the last five weeks.

Race 13

(6) HELIOS played nice in his first start with Pierce in the bike. I expect he’ll be sent down the road this week. (7) TIME TO QUIT couldn’t hack the uncovered trip last time; main danger. (2) VIDA DE VIE should save ground and hit the exotics. (1A) CASHAHALLIC adds Tetrick.
