CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 42 - 120 / $231.20

Best Bet: DOUBLE UP HANOVER (11th) Spot Play: ZUMBA MOUSE (5th)

Race 1

(5) KINGAPORE has been in tough against some top quality stakes foes. This spot is much easier. (2) ALLGROWNUP kept her composure with the hobbles added. (3) WORLD CUP faced a runaway winner last time. He is at least worth a look in this nondescript field.

Race 2

(5) ITALIENNE GIRL rallied nicely in her debut mile. Driver change is the only question for me. (4) FLOWER BOUQUET held her own against NJSS foes last time. This group is not as tough. (1) CARRY A TORCH returned to the races with a good effort.

Race 3

(10) LIGHTNING STORM returned from a long break and blitzed a field from post 9 last time. This colt stands out despite the bad draw. (6) TIGERS TOO GOOD has been making breaks on the final turn at Yonkers; big track should help. (7) SOUTHWIND MONI posted a decent debut mile. (8) VOLUPTUOS RONDA qualified back well in her first start for Alagna; maybe. (1) UPSIDE HANOVER is a big question mark; good qualifier.

Race 4

(4) ODDS ON GUINEVERE ships in for a barn that sent out a couple of 2-year-old baby race winner last Saturday. Seems like her form is good enough to play with this group. (10) MICKEY BLU was a convincing winner at Freehold. This doesn’t look like that big of a jump. (3) HOW BOUT A SMOOCH has been having trouble getting over the top. It won’t get any easier than this spot.

Race 5

(1) ZUMBA MOUSE only needs to mind her manners to best this field full of question marks. (4) ADENIUM was stuck in outside posts at Yonkers in his first two tries of the year; drops, too. (7) BIG SKY BATS has a bit of form and a new driver. (2) WHATNBLAZES would be no shock.

Race 6

The top two stick out for me in here. (2) GINGER TREE WANDA has been off her game of late but really takes a nice class dip tonight and should perk up. (1) VALDEZ comes out of the same race as my top choice. She sometimes gets away slow. Can she stay close from the cones? (9) SWAGGER BEGONIA comes in from Yonkers and finds a much lower level; not impossible.

Race 7

(6) CROWN LADY was facing tougher last week at Philly and almost got the job done. This is her race to lose. (7) SIGNAL raced very well in her latest on a track that wasn’t favoring speed. (1) JULIAS SONG N can stay close and get a piece. I’ll be keying the top two in my pick four plays.

Race 8

(8) DEJARMBRO faded late on a track that was a bit tiring last week. I can see Trond putting the pedal to the metal and going wire to wire at a much better price. (2) AISLING has clearly found his best form. (7) HOT SHOT BLUE CHIP would be my pick from an inside post. I just don’t think he’ll leave tonight. (10) LANSON looked good winning last week but did draw post 10.

Race 9

(9) TEXAS RIDGE kept his act together in his first start with hobbles. With Marshall now in the bike the price should increase. (1) SPECIAL COMMAND made over $100k last year. This is the class relief he needed. (6) CELEBRITY PLAYBOY remains at the right level and gets a new pilot. (10) THE CHANCELLOR certainly has a chance.

Race 10

(7) ATHLETICLYINCLINED has found his A game at Yonkers and should be at home in this spot. (2) DRAGON PRINCESS moves back down; very capable. (3) SOUTHWIND LAVANDA arrives sharp.

Race 11

(4) DOUBLE UP HANOVER went a flat mile last time. He lays over this field. Unless he does something stupid, he will win. (7) BOINGA finds a soft spot and has plenty of early speed. (1) RULE BY STRENGTH has been racing okay at Yonkers.

Race 12

(7) KISSMATT added Lasix and kept up nicely with some tough young ladies. Maybe that race has her tight enough. (6) SHANGHAI LIL hung in deep stretch last time; big threat. (3) COWGIRLS N INDIANS is clearly in good form and has speed.
