Race 1

(6) DUOLOTTACHEATIN only has one qualifier under her belt but it was a good one. This barn has been firing all meet and this field doesn’t sport any killers. (5) TO THE GOOD LIFE didn’t start last time due to injury but is wheeled right back in the box; a good sign. (3) SUZELLE HANOVER seems capable if she brings her best game to the track. (2) ICY CHISEL is clearly fast. I wouldn’t be shocked if he bottomed-out this field.

Race 2

(5) PEGASUS BLUE CHIP comes with plenty of risk, but I’m not enamored with any of these and perhaps Brennan, who comes in to drive for Burke tonight, can wake him up. (8) SCHALOM G knocked a couple of seconds off his lifetime mark last week. I just can’t believe he is now that good. (4) WILD SMILE has a bit of ability and could enjoy the move to the big track.

Race 3

(7) SHEENAS SHADOW went an easy mile last time after the break the previous week. Perhaps we will see a bit more tonight. (6) MASSMANIAN DEVIL closed nicely when clear last time. I have to admit the 0-for-14 record scares me. (10) SINA won at this level two starts back. Post 10 is the main concern.

Race 4

(5) ACQUAVELLA pulled behind a tired horse and lost momentum last week before charging home for second. This field came up a bit lighter; clear choice. (8) LIGHT OF DAY has raced well in two starts, but when Tetrick picks off a Toscano horse there is usually a reason. (4) BETTORS BABE has speed and should be in the picture.

Race 5

(4) MARCUS BI was my top selection with Steve Smith in the bike. The switch to Brennan is simply an added perk. This is a wide open race and he is one of the few with any reasonable form. (6) FOUNTAINBLEAU VOLO needs some pace help but remains a solid threat. (5) GRECALE AS moves into a barn that got a 10-year-old to improve his lifetime mark by over 2 seconds. Maybe this guy is in store for similar. (2) T P LUCY won here last year; fits.

Race 6

(4) RAVEN VICTORY raced well in his initial Meadowlands race. He reunites with Tetrick and gets the slight nod. (6) LAUDERDALE posted a nice 2013 debut mile and MacDonald chose here over another good looking Czernyson starter. (7) ONLINE EXCLUSIVE is trending in the right direction; early speed. (2) DÉJÀ VU TOO has been racing well.

Race 7

(5) CAT CORA gets some serious class relief coming in from Pennsylvania. Tetrick guided this mare to an easy 1:50 2/5 score when he last sat behind her. (10) CHAROLETTES MAGGIE dug in very gamely last time and should be leaving. (4) KATYS JET seems to be down a notch in class, but hasn’t raced in four weeks. (6) ABROKENART HANOVER scratched sick out of an easier spot last time; chance.

Race 8

(9) GO TAPAIGH trotted the entire mile with hobbles added last week. This guy has plenty of speed and this looks like the perfect spot for Brennan to go ‘Minister’. (2) HELIOS does his best work near the lead, so you can toss his last effort. (3) APPOMATTOX comes off qualifiers but is certainly good enough to go with this group. (1) CAMERON CHIP came up with a big mile last time. I doubt whether she can do that again.

Race 9

(5) SIR JILLIAN Z TAM comes off two toss-out efforts at Yonkers from outside posts. This mare is better than her 0-for-14 record in 2013 would indicate and against this pitiful field, I expect Lachance to get aggressive. (7) BRAVEHEARTEDMILE, (1) YOU LITTLE RASCAL & (2) SADIE PLACE round out the exotic players in an uninspiring event.

Race 10

(7) CAROLSTERN closed nicely last week but has enough early pop to mix it up early. This field lacks a standout and she gets my weak call. (2) SHAYNA BABY should get to the top in a hurry. In this bulky field, that will keep her out of trouble. (4) PERSUASIVE HANOVER also has some early zip. Mare won here last year.

Race 11

(7) SOME LIKE IT HOT drops into a cheap condition and should have a big say if she stays flat. (4) VAPORSTAR might be the one to beat, but more than likely he will break; tough call. (6) PLAY FAIR drops down but has been off form.

Race 12

(7) LEMON DROP HALL trounced a similar field last week and should be 3-5 to do it again. (3) L M XKR has been okay lately and has put in some good efforts here in the past. (8) WILDRIDGE SAM was used hard early and paid the price last time; could step up.

Race 13

(7) SOLID QUEEN fits this condition because she raced exactly six times at Freehold earlier in the year. The last time she reached the C-2 level, she won at 30-1; shorter price tonight. (2) SUPERSTAR DREAM will be able to use her early speed tonight. (9) CAROLSIDEAL was a good third last week. If she drew better or had a top driver, I would be on board. (11) CHEYENNE PATTI has a big shot if Miller can navigate her from the second tier.
