Race 7 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 59 - 163 / $317.40 (-$8.60)   BEST BETS: 8 - 14 / $20.10 (-7.90)

Best Bet: CANEPA HANOVER (6th)

Spot Play: FLANAGAN MEMORY (7th)

Race 1

(6) REAL DJ HANOVER was kept too far out of the action in his last start. From the slightly better post tonight, he looks like the play. (5) KEENAN is clearly down in class switching to the amateur ranks; big chance. (8) KEYSTONE THOMAS has plenty of early speed and figures to make his presence felt. (4) NOWUCIT NOWUDONT should take plenty of tote action but seems like a bad fit for an amateur driver.

Race 2

(5) PHI ALPHA hasn't done anything wrong in the morning and could be some value with a Takter/Gingras horse in the field. Colt is the first foal of Win Missy B, who earned nearly $1.6 million career. (4) RUBIO was a very easy winner in his lone qualifier; clear player and likely fave. (1A) AFFAIR OF HONOR & (1) GIVEITGASANDGO have some breeding pluses in their corner and provide a nice two for one.

Race 3

(1) KING OF MAGIC finished up with plenty of gas left in the tank during his lifetime debut. He comes with the question mark of whether he can trot in the 1:55 range needed to win, but something tells me we haven't seen anywhere near his best. (3) MYSTICAL MISSION cruised in the slop to prepare for his first start; seems playable. (6) CATCH ALL ships in for a trainer that does very well with trotters.

Race 4

(5) CAVIART ALLY is actually the 11th foal from Allamerican Cool but the first by Bettor's Delight. He tends to do well with fillies and this gal did come her final quarter in a sizzling 25 4/5. (2A) ANNACLOY has done good work in the morning at Gaitway. This gal is only the second foal of four to race from Lislea Phia and the first you'll recognize as Big M regular Ballineen ($291k, 1:51). (1) SHE'S A BILLIONAIR put up a sharp qualifying mile at Philly and hails from a very capable barn.

Race 5

(2) WHATAWORKOUT gets written into this class on the AE condition. He has done pretty good work versus better in the Graduate and should enjoy the class relief. (5) CLEMENTINE DREAM jumped it off at the start last time but is fast enough to compete at a big price. (7) DOT DOT DOT DASH comes off a win. Let's see how she stretches out on the mile track this time around.

Race 6

(3) CANEPA HANOVER lays over this field on paper and seems worth the short price. (2) DANISH DURANGO goes for his fourth straight and looms a threat if the top one makes a mistake. (1) FASHION CREDITOR won last week and seems to be acclimating to life as an older trotter.

Race 7

(5) FLANAGAN MEMORY was given no chance to win in the Charlie Hill and still charged home to miss by just a length. Six-year-old has been sharp for a month now and has proven capable of stepping up with a big mile. (7) RESOLVE looked great in the Mack Lobell and put in solid efforts in the Elitlopp. My only concern is whether the trip to Sweden took something out of him. I like his chances but can't accept a short price if the public goes his way. (4) OBRIGADO has arguably been the best older trotter so far this year; big test tonight. (3) J L CRUZE deserves respect but hasn't been as consistent as last year.

Race 8

(2) UNCLE HANOVER gets a very weak call on my end in a field where none of these really tickle my fancy. Driver change to Campbell and the switch to the big track are my angles. (1) COMMENTARY races well every week but hasn't been winning. (8) BLUE MUSE probably needs to show early speed to menace, but is capable if kept close. (3) SUMATRA has some class but doesn't exactly jump off the page from those recent qualifiers.

Race 9

(5) HURRIKANE KINGKONG has been steady in the morning and doesn't appear to face the toughest field in the world. Perhaps this seventh foal from Apple Krisp will get some of the talent that half-sister Krispy Apple ($1.6 million, 1:48 4/5) had. (7) CHIP WALTHER almost went down the road in his latest qualifier and seems to have some ability. (1) MACHIAVELLI & (2) ANDY'S IDEAL have looked okay in qualifying action and the lone siblings from each seem to be decent.

Race 10

(5) INITTOWINAFORTUNE seems to be rounding into form over the last couple of weeks and should offer value in a field where any of the seven could win. (7) MEDUSA rolled into the Meadowlands and ran her winning streak to three; hard to ignore her. (1) TOTALLY RUSTY wasn't going far after getting away at the back of the pack. If Callahan keeps her within a couple of lengths, watch out. (4) LOVEINEVERYMINUTE isn't the best mare in the field, but given the right trip she could win.

Race 11

(2) IDEAL NUGGETS was short after missing five weeks of action. I'm expecting more now. (7) SCANDALICIOUS has been facing tough foes at Pocono and should feel comfortable against this squad. (4) DIVINE CAROLINE is supposed to laugh at this group as she wins by open lengths, but she hasn't been right all year and this barn is just 1 for 33 at the meet. (9) KELLI RACHELLE is off a win, but needs a trip to get involved from the outside post.
