CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 52 - 144 / $278.40

Best Bet: BABE PER VIEW (12th)      Spot Play: THE CHANCELLOR (6th)

Race 1

(8) STERLING VOLO added hobbles and blew out a big mile. Also nice to see Sears jumps in the bike this week. (9) ITALIENNE GIRL is better than her 0 for 7 record indicates. I like the driver switch to Gingras. (7) MRS MRS JONES had a bit of a tough trip last time and faced a runaway winner in her prior try; some legitimate excuses.

Race 2

(2) NEW YORK MUSCLE Finds a field without much early speed and should be able to get away close in this spot. Sears in the bike and the drop out of the Sire Stakes are more pluses. (4) WEEKEND VACATION took a step in the right direction last time. (7) AMARCORD might have a touch of hidden speed in his bag of tricks. That would serve him well in this field. (3) ADRIANA HANOVER wouldn’t shock me given the right trip.

Race 3

(1) LUV YA TYLER is hard to pick against after last week’s romp. (7) BIG SKY ANGELINA has shown early speed in the past; time to find it. (8) DOUBLE UP HANOVER won easily last week but is stuck outside this time around. He’ll be charging late. Too late?

Race 4

(7) WATERLOO WILLIE raced pretty well on the rim last week and faces a dull bunch. I’ll roll the dice at a price. (3) BOINGA failed as the chalk last week but appears to be the one to beat again. (2) EXTRACURRICULAR drops down. He is supposed to wake up at this level. (1) SWAGGER BEGONIA was okay last time; moves inside. (5) BIG SKY BATS is another possible threat.

Race 5

(8) CELTIC DANSER plunges in class and has a ton of early speed if Bongiorno chooses to use it. Classy mare deserves the call and might even offer some value. (1) SOWHATSYOURPOINT gets huge post and driver adjustments. (7) ARIANE HANOVER won her last start at this level.

Race 6

(4) THE CHANCELLOR had no chance trying to close from the back last time. Veteran picks up one of my favorite trot drivers in Gingras and is more than capable of stepping up. (9) COCO LINDY lured Tetrick off my top choice. This guy seems to race well every week. (7) LADY ANDOVER last for the win in her most recent. I need to see another one from her. (8) COLD WINNER has been making breaks at Yonkers and might enjoy the bigger track.

Race 7

(5) BILLIE BLUECHIP reunites with Sears and drops to the level of her last score. (3) ODDS ON AVENTURE enjoyed the class break last time and should be able to handle this slight bump back up the ladder. (6) NITE GAMES puts in a good effort each week.

Race 8

I was undecided in this race. Usually I don’t blindly side with the driver, but I’m going with Sears’ decision to drive (10) ONE IN A MILLION. His recent qualifier was much better. I’m thinking this guy might have some talent. (6) CHILITODAYHOTAMALE exits Sire Stakes competition. Interesting that Sears would pick off this Smedshammer trainee. (4) CATHYS PRINCESS has shown some nice rallies lately.

Race 9

(6) KISSMATT seems to be moving in the right direction now. With Sears in the bike, I’ll take a shot despite the slight class rise. (2) CROWN LADY was used up a bit in the pace last time. (1) LR DANCING DREAM has been facing tougher. This barn knows how to wake them up at a price.

Race 10

(6) KODAK LINDY responded nicely to the switch to a catch-driver. Yannick should be able to handle him just as well. (3) BANKER VOLO is perfect in his career; can’t really fault him. (5) KINGAPORE comes off a win but faces tougher.

Race 11

(5) ZUMBA MOUSE has stayed flat in consecutive starts. If she doesn’t make a miscue, she wins. (7) BIG SKY HURRICANE has been consistent and sports some early zip. (1) PEGASUS POINT should push off from the cones.

Race 12

(2) BABE PER VIEW raced well last time versus much tougher. She should handle this group rather easily. (5) MAMASAIDSO is an interesting shipper. (7) THINKYOUCANDANCE is another dropping out of NJSS company.
