Race 1

(2) WICKED LITTLE MINX gets mega class relief and should take care of business. (8) BEACH GRANNY has been tackling some top mares in recent weeks and seems like the main danger in this spot. (9) CRESCENT CITY comes off a blowout win at Philly and should contend if she can repeat that mile.

Race 2

(2) BLUE MUSE has raced well from on or off the pace and finds a good spot from the cones to work out a winning trip. (3) NORTHERN GRACE comes off a confidence building win and raced well when last seen here. (8) RILEY’S DREAM is always good for an on-the-board spot. (5) ALL THAT SPARKLES hasn’t won yet but has been involved when she minds her manners.

Race 3

(2) UPFRONTSTRIKESGOLD missed four months of action and wound up chasing as best he could in a sizzling 1:52 3/5 mile last time. This amateur race is a nice spot for him. (4) BLOOMFIELDCANTIFLY almost wired the field in her last start in the amateur ranks. She is on my radar now. (1) JACKS TO OPEN seems like a lock to be favored and warrants inclusion on multi-race tickets despite the short price.

Race 4

(6) SOUTHWIND POSEIDON was spectacular winning a week ago and should handle this field without too much trouble. (5) ALDEBARAN EAGLE was chasing some top-notch colts in Canepa Hanover and Guess Whos Back in NJSS races. I wouldn’t be shocked if he pulled off the upset. (7) JUSTIN ON BROADWAY stole the race last week; tougher spot.

Race 5

(3) REAL DRAMA has won back to back races and remains at the same winning level. (4) MOJARRA HANOVER has finished second in four consecutive starts. Veteran mare has made a good living here in these types of races. (5) VICTORIA MAY N has an upset chance with a live trip. (8) OCEANS MOTION won in round one of this series off a perfect pocket trip.

Race 6

(3) MASTER OF LAW showed some renewed form on the class drop last time. He moves inside this week and could be handled a bit more aggressively. (1) CLEMENTINE DREAM comes off a win at Pocono and has dangerous inside speed. (5) FLYHAWK EL DURADO has found himself in recent weeks here and only needs a smooth trip to get a big piece of the purse.

Race 7

(1) IN NOMINE PATRI draws back inside and should be able to come away with no worse than a pocket trip in this spot. (5) WATKINS handled the jump to this class well enough. Gelding is in form now. (4) MASSACAIA has been better than his recent PP lines appear. Don’t be surprised if he picks up his game on the big track.

Race 8

(2) BAROCKEY drops down, has early speed and picks up Callahan; seems worth a shot. (4) BALLINEEN & (3) HIT BY LIGHTNING freefall out of the same upper-level conditioned race into this event for basement types. Either seems capable if they can find any form.

Race 9

(8) MODEST PRINCE returns to the Meadowlands at a level where the trip almost doesn’t matter. He should get the job done in this spot. (2) WALLTOCOUSINS is down in class and eligible to bring an improved performance to the track. (4) ROMPAWAY GALAXY has been overmatched in the Graduate series and would seem worth a look against this type.

Race 10

(5) THAT WOMAN HANOVER tied up last week according to trainer Henrik Lundell. That explains her lackluster effort in the stretch; rebounds. (7) BRUSHSTROKES has been consistent without a win to show for her recent efforts. (4) MCNICKELS MCDIMES has enough early speed to get involved at a price.

Race 11

(2) MONKEY ON MY WHEEL is a $1.6 million career earner that finds a soft spot this week and should perk up. (3) RIVER RUNS THRU IT has handled the rise in class very well. (6) MARTY PARTY probably finds one of the weakest fields she has seen in ages.

Race 12

(5) TWISTED PRETZEL returns to the Meadowlands at a reduced level and adds a solid catch-driver this week. (1) CAMBRIDGE has speed and an inside draw; clearly the one to beat. (4) EXQUISITE GLIDE simply stopped last time. I’m going to toss that line as an anomaly. (8) ORANGE BIGI can be an exotics players with the right trip.
