Best Bet: BEYONCES ROCKN (10th) Spot Play: BIZET (9th) Race 2 - $25,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 7 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool CHAMPIONSHIP MEET STATS: 26 - 79 / $141.60 (-$16.40) BEST BETS: 7 - 8 / $24.20 (+$8.20) Race 1 (5) TECH TITAN raced well from off the pace after missing more than four weeks last time out. Moving to a better post here, I’d expect to see some early speed and a solid effort. (8) ROCKIN REDFORD made an early break last time but his prior race was fine. He could return to form here at a nice price. (6) FIJI has some early speed and a hot amateur driver at the helm. Race 2 (2) SAMIS ROLIN STONE has proven herself to be the best of the Jersey sired trotting fillies this year; short price. (5) PRINCESS MARXXX seems to have the raw ability to beat the top choice if she can behave. (4) TAKE A WISH chased #2 nicely last week and is most likely to complete the exacta if #5 misbehaves. Race 3 Two-horse race here as (1) SHOSHIE DEO and (3) U NEED STONES hook up once again. The former has gotten the best of this matchup in consecutive starts and deserves top billing, but the latter is certainly fast enough to pull off the slight upset. (2) BRUTAL STORM seems to be racing for third money unless one of the top pair makes a big mistake. Race 4 (4) HYPNOTIC TALE has sprinted home and taken care of business in both preliminary legs of NJSS and seems best once again. (1) HURRIKANE EMPRESS is likely going to make the top one work to make the front with $75k on the line, but I’m not convinced this gal is good enough to beat her. (5) CRUZINFORAVICTORY is capable on her best; outside draw hurts. Race 5 (5) MYLITTLESURFERGIRL rolled down the road impressively with Gingras joining the team; why not again? (7) FINA PATINA elected to take back last week, which is not her best game. Will she leave this time? (6) CLASSY CHAPEL N raced well for second despite missing time last Friday; more now? (4) CHEAP THRILLS gets a driver change to Tetrick. Race 6 (6) DOUBLE L LINDY gets a serious test for class this week. He’s been super since entering the Miller barn and has the versatility to race from on or off the pace. (7) CELEBRITY RUTH seems to have acclimated to facing older foes in quick order; clear threat. (2) CHROMEO loses his catch driver but still merits some consideration. Race 7 This is a difficult race to kick off the pick four sequence. I’ll try (8) SAIL TO THE BEACH, who raced well versus a much the best winner last time. Hopefully she can work out a trip from the outside post. (3) CHEYENNE ROBIN has gone well for Gingras in the past. Six-year-old can take this with a smooth journey. (5) STORMTRACKER is back on the big track. She had a couple of good miles here back in April. (9) OK HEAVENLY seems like more of an exotics threat but is capable of winning with the right setup. Race 8 (2) ZEPHYR KRONOS is starting to win me over. I’m still not sure whether he can stick close to a faster pace, but I’m starting to think he can. (8) HAT TRICK HABIT raced well in his 2018 debut and can certainly improve. (7) PHAETOSIVE has all the talent in the world but has no incentive to come out guns ablazin’ here. Race 9 (4) BIZET had a start to get up to speed with the trainer in the bike last time. Now Wallin calls on McCarthy and I’m expecting much more versus a suspect group. (2) EUROBOND is another picking up a new driver and also bound to be sharper in his second start back. (10) RICH UNCLE raced evenly with Schnittker in his recent qualifier. Will Gingras be firing off the gate? Race 10 (2) BEYONCES ROCKN was racing four classes higher when last seen at The Meadowlands and won the last time she was at this class. You’ll be getting 3-5 with her, but she seems much the best unless one of these steps up in a big way. (7) FUTURE HEADLINES qualified back nicely with Lasix added. Perhaps the medication will make a big difference. (1) LOST A SOCK has some early speed and should be heard from. (3) ALWAYS AS FAST was racing well before the break last time.
